Ok good. I was just worried if he wasn’t immune to something like hep b that he would have to complete the series before coming which can take 6 months to complete

It depends on the age btw, most of our ages (of course this is a guess) needs only 5 vaccines all can be done in that day, or in a really short time.

Ours either. Just wondering then how some ppl had their NOA date with just the email/text (as reported a few times above...unless they got the hard copy the same day). Some ppl had reported they mailed and received their NOA date within a few days which is where it got me confused. All good. I’m impatient but I’m sighing relief that our package made it/we have started process

Cheers!

You can use the WAC number that's in the text and email to get the noa1 date online

Take a look at the link I provided above. I’m sure it will put your mind at ease.

So far I’ve found that you can’t. My receipt number is not listed in the data base on USCIS Online as of yet. I have checked and even the website states to don’t bother checking online until you have the hard copy. It still doesn’t make sense to me how ppl without their hard copy know their NOA date. But I’m beyond caring now, lol. .

Don't worry when I checked novembers there was at least a 4 days gap between noa1 and their online listings. Some are listed just late. And probably for some they just send the email and then add it to the system, because the web system does not work properly at the moment.

So... this is the distribution and the Gauss curve for the number of days between received and approved cases, for the month of May 2017 (as to 11/20/2017). I left out seven cases that seemed to be expedites. Additionally, I only considered received cases, meaning I also left out some cases that had already been touched, like Date of Birth or Name updated cases. The remaining cases (and big majority) used for this calculations made a total of 1522.

Those 1522 cases gave a mean of 169.95 days from Received to Approval date, with a stardard deviation of 9.46 days.

That curve below is actually very useful to get some interesting probabilities. If we assumed that June is going to follow a not very different pattern than the previous month, we could say that, for example:

  • The probability for a June filer to be approved in less than 160 days is only 14.65%.
  • That the probability for a June filer to be approved between 160 and 180 days is 70.95%.
  • That the probability for a June filer to be approved in more than 170 days is (an astonishing) 49.78%.
  • Or that the probability for a June filer to be approved in more than 180 days is (a still astonishing) 29.67%.

Hopefully the processing times will lower in the next months and we'll see how that curve will slowly be moving to the left and those percentages lower or raise in our favor. Fingers crossed!! :)

Hello everyone! I was told that I should probably be in the November filers since my noa1 date was nov 1, even though my lawyer sent the packet mid October. But I’m glad because you all seem a lot nicer :)

i have a question for you all and @Naes too. I was looking at the google drive and saw that someone who filed in September, got approved in November. How does that happen with the uscis is “supposed” to be just now working on June filers? Does that mean that no one really knows how they work? I keep hearing people say “expect a long wait” and blah blah, but obviously it’s not the case for some people soooo is the advice given in this forum even accurate??

Hi!!!

Right now November is getting noa1s so there's more action. Then this settles, then When noa2s start you'll see more action in your monthly page! (Is your received date nov1 or receipt date nov1) this is important cause your number will in the received dates month as that's what uscis shows.

That is an expedited case.

you can expedite a case under certain conditions. For k1 it's mostly used by military personnel about to get deployed.

youll see expedited cases along the way however unless the month before you is done 80% it doesn't mean your month started. Expedite can happen at any time, a june filer just got approved on expedite. They already started June however her case was expedited earlier so she got it ahead of others too.

also you will see some people getting rfes. However rfes also can occur at any time on the way depending on the type of rfe. So again unless 80% of the last month before you is finished, it doesn't mean your month started.

I'm reeating these because I don't want anyone to get disappointed when they see these cases.(I know I got excited before I knew what it was) 😊

good luck and let's hope the processing will get faster by next year!
