Scanned various dates 1st , 2nd, 3rd,17th, 20th and November not seeing any movement as of yet. But trying to stay positive its early there still could also be silent NOA2's which wont appear on scans hopefully after their morning coffee kicks in they will ramp it up :D

Any thing yet?

Yaayyy! Thank you!! Where do you choose your consulate? Jakarta or Surabaya?
Hope you too all the best, it's so hard to be far away with your loved one. Hang in there, it will be soon.

Jakarta! :) I am actually the petitioner and I'm from New Jersey. Can't wait to visit Indonesia soon!

How long does the rest of the K1 usually take, from NOA2 to the visa being issued? I’ve been budgeting about 4 months but I’m starting to wonder whether it usually takes less time than that?

From NOA2 depending on paperwork and you having everything in order its usually between 1.5 - 2.5 months. But this can factor on where you live / backlog and / embassy but dont worry even after the K1 visa approval you still have a while as

  • Once approved the K1 visa is valid for 6 months to get into the USA
  • You then have an additional 3 months (90 days) after entering the USA to get married. ( Recommend not waiting 3 months and getting married asap and filing for AOS adjustment of status ASAP)

So you will have some time to make arrangements after being approved but if your like me as soon as im approved and have my visa in hand im booking flights same day.

Good luck!

One additional but important note,(although I know this is not the issue but just in case someone reads)

entry validity: 6 months from medical not visa issuance (3 months if any  sickness or such appeared on medical)
