Anybody waiting from NVC

Hello People,

Can anybody share their experiences on processing time taken by NVC? My documents are with NVC since last two months but did not get back yet.

As I understand it, you have to assume 11 weeks processing time. I spent most of September trying to get NVC to process payment (rejected once!), filled out DS-260 on the 26th September. Sent off docs on the 27th. Received at the NVC on the 29th, processed by them 2nd October ... and that's where the 11 week wait starts.

 

You can call them up but they'll just tell you to wait for the letter or email. I'm not expecting anything until the week before Christmas.

I usually know that it is 8 weeks for my cousin, but it depends.

That's brilliant. Does NVC receive calls today as well?? I assumed its public holiday. Let's hope we get out interview dates soon

yes they are receiving call (only yesterday was holiday).

Just received the official email that I'm just waiting on an interview date. So approved on the 17th November, email on the 27th

 

I understand from other threads that it can take up to four weeks for a EB visa date to be issued, assuming current priority. If nobody's linked this recently, you can check if there's any extra waiting time here: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/law-and-policy/bulletin.html
