hey everyone my fiance currently she can't work cuze she's taking care of our new born baby , we both have money saved do we need co sponsor?

When assets are used, the assets must equal 5 times the difference between the annual income and the needed 125% of the poverty level, this is because the affidavit is in effect for 5 years. For instance, if you

needed $15,500 income and had an annual income of $13,500, you would need an extra $2,000 of assets for 5 years, or a total of $10,000 in assets in addition to your income. In general, if you are deficient on yearly income for sponsorship and your assets are somewhat borderline, do not take chances--have a co-sponsor.

thank you for quick response i'm the benificiary my fiance she's USC ,she only worked for 6 months since she got back to the us, cuz we lived together abroad, we do need co sponsor right?

They need to submit:

- Letter from employer showing where they work, how much they earn, and what is their title. How long they have been employed there.

-IRS transcripts or income tax returns for the past three years

- 6 most recent paystubs (or at least 3)

- If they don't earn enough then they need to show savings and assets.

 in our case my fiance's mom is our co sponsor but she's retire what eles she need to submit? thanks a lot

She has to make at least the minimum for a family of 4 or $30,750 and she has to take financial responsibility for 10 years, I believe.  She will need paystubs or check receipts from her retirement account and tax returns showing an annual income in excess of $30,750.

thank you sir ,she's has been retire for a year now , check receipts from her retirement account for the whole year? and the bank statement?

My numbers were off a little. For the K-1 I believe a family of 3 needs $20,160 (100% poverty level) or $25,290 (125% poverty level). Bank statements and tax returns would be great evidence.
