Quick question on the online status:

Mine is still stuck at "we received your visa application online, please submit requested documents".

Docs were sent and scanned on 10/6 (a month ago), as confirmed by NVC over the phone.

When will the status change? When case is touched for review?

Ah! It takes a while, now they are dealing with i think mid September scan dates, so you still have some waiting left im guessing. But don’t wait for the status change. Call them as often as u like. Once or twice a week! Thats how u get faster info! Goodluck

Status will change to at NVC after CC but until then no change.

I see. So it's completely worthless to check the status online.

No I would still check it...once it changes to at NVC call immediately to confirm CC.

Also in the invoice log in you'll see the AOS fee box has disappeared after CC.

Is that the case also for IR-5 visas?

Do I have to submit every thing in that Document cover sheet list. for example will the IRS Tax transcript for the last 3 years be enough or do i have to send in W2 forms, federal income tax returns also? or for that i have to check mark 'Not Applicable'?

Also it lists in the NVC website that for Pakistan, it doesn't require police certificate, did anybody of you who is filing for Pakistan beneficiary also not send the police certificate?

please kindly guide me as to what documents did u submit as i am preparing my package.

Thanks

Tax transcripts are enough you don't need to send both.  Yes you can put non-applicable.

I did not submit a police certificate to NVC and did not receive a checklist.  I did see members on here getting them so my husband (who likes to be overly prepared) just got one just in case it was asked for at interview.  The website for the consulate says no longer required unless that changed.

My husband is from Pakistan but now lives in Spain. We went ahead and got a police report from Pakistan since he had lived there before going to Spain. It took a good 3 months just to get it. I figured better safe than sorry.

Just got an Email from NVC saying :

"The U.S. Embassy Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General."

So of course i'm relieved and happy, but i have a question,

I sent the NVC package only 3 days ago, i don't think they even scanned it yet, will they send the package to my consulate or will i need to bring all my AOS and IV package to the consulate ?

And should i bother calling NVC about SD or anything else or just wait for the interview to be scheduled?

Thanks
