Hello everyone,   I am coming here to say that my interview was this morning at Rio de Janeiro embassy, and my visa was approved. Hopefully I will be going back home before thanksgiving.

I'm sorry to hear that, I'm on the same boat... Maybe we should wait until next week? Idk anymore... I just called 5 min ago (even though I promised I wouldn't until Friday 🙄) and again nothing... Once she said no I just hung up lmao didn't want to hear the same story... I just don't get what it is about this time... Everyone from before Sept CC's were getting there interview dates 1 to 2 weeks after CC email... I'm so frustrated. 😒

I'm still waiting for CDJ interview, cc 10/26. I agree, we may get interviews in January or February for me. I went ahead and booked my flight before cc for the holidays in Dec, I was worried but now I'm glad I did. I hope we hear something soon though. This has gone long enough :(

It's in my write up case complete was 15th September and I got an interview date on the 30th September for 14th November.

Just an update about scheduling in case you haven't been calling... lol

I called this evening and got through really quickly. Got a nice agent. He told me the following:

 

They'll probably still be scheduling for December through this week.

If they don't schedule us by Friday we'll probably be scheduled for an interview in January.

 

We found out that our CC was Nov 8. So even though we got a letter Nov 10 stating that my husband needs to bring the W2 to the interview, they didn't tell us "case complete." We should get that CC notification in the next day or so, as he said it takes about a week.

I asked about the W2 ( I KNOW I put it in the package, twice!) he said the embassy often asks for it (again) to be brought by the applicant, almost by default. 

 

ps - just went to my profile to update it and noticed that the Case Complete came EXACTLY 2 years after I joined VisaJourney. Thanks to all the lovely and supportive people here, you've really been lifesavers. :)

October 2011: Met in Spain

2012-2014: Video chat + visas + visits and vacations = we made it through!

June 2014: Moved to Spain, got engaged 

December 31, 2015: got married

April 20, 2016: sent I130 package

May 2, 2016: package received in Chicago Lockbox - - - 12 days for delivery!! Don't use TNT couriers!! 

May 2nd or 5th, 2016: email NOA1... accepted and sent to.... NEBRASKA 

And now.... breeeeeeathe..... be like water my friend....

October 26th, 2016: NOA2 [We had waited almost 6 months. Received notification from the phone app, never got an email.]

November 9th 2016: USCIS sent the petition to NVC (app notification) [waited 2 weeks after approval for this]

November 25th 2016: NVC received and created account for our petition [waited 16 days after USCIS sent it, for NVC to acknowledge receipt]

Dec 1st 2016: Chose agent online DS261 [a few days later than it could've been since the above NVC email went to SPAM!]

Dec 6th 2016: Case available for paying fees. That was fast, I think! 5 days!

Took a long time to get package out because... life... and husband's family in Morocco had to travel to get police document.

Feb 20th 2017: Scan date at NVC, received weird email.

April 28th 2017: CHECKLIST. Moroccans are required to send a Court Report regardless of Police Record status. My husband had to go back to Morocco to get it in person. Also, NVC wants a 2016 tax return now that is 2017. My bad.

September 15th 2017: 2nd Scan Date at NVC. Sent for document review October 20th.

Nov 10th 2017: Email requesting document be brought to interview. Will schedule interview.

Case complete date??: TBD :clock:.... November 8th!!

Interview date : January 18, 2018!!           Result: Administrative Processing      :mellow:

Embassy called for new medical last week of August. New Medical Sept 10.

Visa ISSUED September 14, 2018. :blink:

Great News! Just called the NVC and received an interview date of 12-26-17 @ 8:10am. 1 day late but still a very nice present.

Please how do i go about with my Medicals and courier pickup?

Hello, congrats! You should go to this link https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/prepare.html

and choose Lagos from the list in step 2, everything you need to know about the medical and courier pickup is available when u download the PDF file.

i hope you do! it's all up to the embassy and if there are more available dates.

We called on Monday's morning when they opened, we asked them if we got an interview date and they said no then asked us to wait, he kept us on the phone on hold  for 6 mins  then told us that we just got scheduled, and it will be in December 13, exactly 30 days after the day we got scheduled. 12 hrs after, they sent us the interview letter (P4). As i have seen here on VJ, they sent the interview letters this week on late Monday to other users too.
