Does this mean Case Complete? Or coming soon?

We got an email saying that it is a "checklist" but in the end they just want him to bring a copy of my W2. (silly, because I put it in the packet, but whatever, I don't even care!!)

It says they will schedule the interview.

Anyone know about Madrid Embassy timing?

Its a case complete. I'm sure they want you to bring the document to the interview that's why they're going ahead to schedule the interview....better than having to send it to NVC. Congrats !

Where she works she have two options of getting it through online download or request by mail .but her work website is down for downloading the letter and if request by mail she will get it in 15 days .so don't know what to do

Hi, maybe this comes late but anyway. Your wife can use her paystubs and if she can’t get them online because the site is down, she can print out bank statements where it shows direct deposits from her employer. She should print at least the last 5 deposits, usually it has the employer information on it. So if she has those bank statements plus the original offer letter of employment I think it should be fine because it will show that she is still employed by the same company. Good Luck on your interview.

how should we expect to hear where our passports are?

I left mine with the embassy and paid to have it delivered to the courier in advance. The embassy kept my passport. Status now changed to issued... but I haven't heard anything from the courier or the embassy?

Anybody know?

Yayyyy thanks!

Finally! We started at NVC in February! (Some delays were done purposely so as to not interrupt our summer together, ironically...)

Now just to attempt to figure out the timing at Madrid. I'd hate to miss Christmas together but I just can't get over there logistically and if the interview is scheduled for the end of December then...

October 2011: Met in Spain

2012-2014: Video chat + visas + visits and vacations = we made it through!

June 2014: Moved to Spain, got engaged

December 31, 2015: got married

April 20, 2016: sent I130 package

May 2, 2016: package received in Chicago Lockbox - - - 12 days for delivery!! Don't use TNT couriers!!

May 2nd or 5th, 2016: email NOA1... accepted and sent to.... NEBRASKA

And now.... breeeeeeathe..... be like water my friend....

October 26th, 2016: NOA2 [We had waited almost 6 months. Received notification from the phone app, never got an email.]

November 9th 2016: USCIS sent the petition to NVC (app notification) [waited 2 weeks after approval for this]

November 25th 2016: NVC received and created account for our petition [waited 16 days after USCIS sent it, for NVC to acknowledge receipt]

Dec 1st 2016: Chose agent online DS261 [a few days later than it could've been since the above NVC email went to SPAM!]

Dec 6th 2016: Case available for paying fees. That was fast, I think! 5 days!

Took a long time to get package out because... life... and husband's family in Morocco had to travel to get police document.

Feb 20th 2017: Scan date at NVC, received weird email.

April 28th 2017: CHECKLIST. Moroccans are required to send a Court Report regardless of Police Record status. My husband had to go back to Morocco to get it in person. Also, NVC wants a 2016 tax return now that is 2017. My bad.

September 15th 2017: 2nd Scan Date at NVC. Sent for document review October 20th.

Nov 10th 2017: Email requesting document be brought to interview. Will schedule interview.

Case complete date??: TBD :clock:.... November 8th!!

Interview date : January 18, 2018!!           Result: Administrative Processing

Embassy called for new medical last week of August. New Medical Sept 10.

Visa ISSUED September 14, 2018.

Thanks so much for creating this thread, dwheels76.

Hi all,
I read the information DWHeels76 posted. Very helpful. Now I'm looking for Madrid info, specifically.
Can anyone please remind me how I can find out how long it might take for my husband to get an interview in Madrid? Here is our situation:
- My husband is Moroccan, long time resident of Spain. (Also, how do I post to Spanish portal? We are on VJ as Moroccan and have Morocco as our portal.)
- We sent documents again to NVC after getting a checklist. Received at NVC in mail (return receipt) Sept 13. Scan date Sept 15.
- the 11 week wait (again) should end around Dec 1.

So again, trying to figure out a timeline in terms of travel and seeing each other for the holidays. (I'm in the US, obviously.  :) )

Thanks!

Well you have the Spain Flag up so you are already in the Spain country portal. As  far as how long Spain usually like most of the less busy embassies is usually 30 days or so after case complete.

But let me explain it's all about when you get case complete and how many before you. Thre's no exact science to this. Scheduling for all embassies is the end of the month through usually 1st week. NVC schedules until they either run out of slots or run our of cases to fill the slots.

So expect 30 to 60 days after Case Complete to be scheduled is a good guesstimate  for Spain.

Sorry about the checklist hope you get CC soon.

Hi, Thanks Dwheels,

We just got an email saying they will schedule the interview, despite the fact they say they don't have the W2 (I sent it TWICE, but whatever)... so I guess our CC is around now.

We are really wondering what to do about the holidays... seems like the interview could be right around the new year.

1) Can anyone share website link to schedule fingerprint ( Biometric )appointment at Hyderabad

2) Can a petitioner & 2 years old US Citizen child accompany beneficiary to the Mumbai interview?

I would do an advance search It's in many threads. be sure to get that done well in advance of your interview.

Check with your embassy don't know if anyone else is allowed in your embassy every embassy is different.
