Hello everyone, I haven't been on the site for a while, and now I'm back with yet another question. I didn't see anything related to this on Turkish portal

I need to go to Turkey for a week or two, but since there were/are some visa issuing problems I was wondering if it's safe to buy a ticket to Turkey for the first or second week of November?

I cleaned My Timeline. Hope nobody minds

For US passport holders: if you currently have a Turkish e-visa that was obtained before the visa ban, you can travel fine. If you're just flying with Turkish Airlines with a connection in Istanbul but don't have visa, again yes you can fly thru Istanbul. But if you want to travel to Turkey and don't currently have a visa, the only way to get a visa is to apply at a consulate outside United States. I guess the closest ones would be the ones in Canada. Fly to Toronto, get the visa, then continue to Istanbul from Toronto.

If you have dual-citizenship, and the other passport can get the e-visa easily, you could travel with that passport. If it is a life and death kind of emergency travel situation, I'd advice contacting the closest Turkish consulate in the US, see what they could offer. US consulates in Turkey eased visa ban for emergency situations, maybe it is the same here too. Also, if this is a business trip, contact the hosting company in Turkey and see what they could do to petition a visa in Turkey for you.
