Hi there,

Have any Jan filers got i130 approvals yet? We got a notice saying they receivrd our petition back in Jan 12 2017 and still haven't heard anything back.  We know Nebraska's been behind but this is really behind.  Anyone know any other news ?

We're January 25th (Nebraska) and nothing yet as of the 7th November. My wife is from Ireland. I feel like the State slogan when you enter Nebraska should be "Welcome to Nebraska - where dreams go to die!. :) They are miserably slow. If we were Potomac, we'd already be done with the NVC by now. It's ridiculous.

I am January 26th PD and January 31st NOA1. Still patiently waiting like so many other left behind. I saw that a couple persons from February 2017 got approvals from Nebraska. So as I have observed they don't go by priority dates at all. It has to do with background checks. So if one person's check comes back before another they will approve that. Everybody just has to be patient well that us what I tell myself and I'm sticking to hit.

Is it possible to have files transferred to a diff center or will the wait and up being a longer?

@Curio unfortunately, the geniuses running the place can only decide if you get a transfer or not. It's just so frustrating. It's just Nebraska too for spouses of US citizens that are taking so long (we're married for 5 years with a daughter who holds American citizenship as well). I feel defeated and our case should be open and shut with as straight forward as it is, but it was just pure fecking shitty luck that we ended up in the hands of those corn-fed dipsh*ts in Nebraska.

It's an EENY MEENY MINEY MOE situation. My son was the eeny meeny as his application was approved on Oct 21 with a NOA1 date of Feb 6. I am the miney moe as my application while sent at the exact same time with a NOA1 date has not been approved.

USCIS is a complete disaster. My husband called FOUR times yesterday to find out what is going on because we have our sons i130 going through NVC. So does that mean we get 2 consulate interviews and get to pay more than the $2000 in airfare to travel all the way to Montreal AGAIN? Good luck trying to get a hold of anyone. He called again this morning and was told to expect a call back in 97 minutes. He was told someone would call him back yesterday and nobody ever did. The clencher was when he called after 5pm and was told Tier 2 was shut down for the night. Must be nice being able to pick and choose when you feel like taking phone calls.

I saw a Feb 13 NOA1 date approved in Nebraska yesterday. It's like a lottery based system.
