I did my interview and the officer was mean she was mean I’m black my husband is Indian . And first of all I brought a kid she started off rude like you guys don’t have a sitter .... then shen she was like if she interrupts she will have to rescheduale. She still did interview she gave us our oaths and then she asked a few question . My husband speaks English but I still requested an interpreter because sometimes when u talk to him he gets confused! He answered the questions in both English and Italian and then the lady asked us for our evidence then his birth certificate. His birth certificate was lamanated the officer said it couldn’t be like that . And he need to get a new one . She also said that he has a file from the past she wants to look into ! She said also maybe we may get a second interview because we moved and it was a Brooklyn office and we moved to queens . She said we will get a letter . What do u think will happen

I think she was business like to you.  Not being there I can't say what kind of attitude she might have taken when asking about the sitter but such a serious matter is really no place to bring a child if it can possibly be helped and as you said she did the interview anyway.  I would imagine that the issue with the lamination was that she was looking for a raised seal that could not be confirmed as a result of the lamination.  Only her,  and the Good Lord knows for sure what's going to happen next.   My guess is that the letter will request that you provide a new Birth Certificate and may ask you to provide additional proof of relationship.   However, you didn't indicate that there were any particularly intrusive questions about your relationship so as long as there are no Major Red Flags in you or your husbands immigration past I think you'll be fine although may need to submit a few more items.

Idk it’s scary because we did our application living in Brooklyn but all our paper work addresses says queens and we moved to queens only two months ago . But he lived in queens prior and he added me to all his things

It’s scary idk what to think right now how do I know if I’m going to get a stokes Interview

What file he has from the past? Did he have a previous petition?

You have to give us more information about your case.

Are there any red flags or concerns you have about your application?

What's your husband's previous immigration status?

You mentioned he answered in Italian, is that a typo?

I'm sure you can explain the change of address and it shouldn't be a big deal. Did you guys bring some evidence to your interview?

I guess right now there is nothing else to do but wait. I know it sucks. But even if you do get a second interview, it's not the end of the world. If your relationship is genuine, you'll be fine!

Good luck with your journey!

You husband is indian but you needed an italian translator? What kind of file he has from the past? Did he ever apply for an immigrant benefit previously?

Would have needed a regular birth cert for the K.
