I have read M-477, the Document checklist for filing the N-400 application.  I have two questions.

It states on page one that all applicants must send a photocopy of your resident card, front and back; payment, and two color photos.  Are the color photos only required for applicants residing outside of the US, or all applicants.  The language contradicts itself.

Under bullet point number 4 on page one of the M-477 document checklist, do I have the option of providing a, b, or c; or as many documents as possible.

Thank you

The way I read it, the pictures are only required if you are outside the U.S., otherwise they take your pictures at your biometric appointment.

Thank you for answering my first question.  For the second part of the question, bullet point number 4, can I just submit the IRS transcript (item c), or do I need to submit as many documents as possible (birth certificates, bank statements, US citizen's passport?

Send the pictures or bring them to the interview. Plenty of applicants got rfe for pictures at the interview (yet weren't told they needed them ahead of interview).
