Once you pay the IV bill. What happens next?

When do they mail the case off to the Embassy or after what part do they mail the case off to the embassy?

Thanks

Once the IV fee bill is paid, NVC will send the Instruction Packet of forms and information to the agent. This package pertains to the applicant/beneficiary. Have a look at the link below and scroll down. Click on the Instructions dependent on the country of interview. You will find a list of what the package will contain and what will be required.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_1309.html

According to the website, those applying in Canada, Albania, Turkey, United Arab Emirates or on the continent of Africa will return a completed DS-230 parts I & II and all accompanying documentation.

Those not included in the above will only return to NVC a completed DS-230 part I and a copy of the biometrics page of the passport, with part II to be completed, not signed, and taken along to the interview along with all the requested documentation.

The general rule of thumb is.....when you are required to only submit part I of DS-230 then the consulate will set the interview date. If you are required to send in both parts I & II then the the interview date will come via the NVC. You have a bit of a wait with Manila Im afraid.

Thanks for the info.... 1 Problem when i goto the link below and I press the link on the national visa center link, I get a can't display this page. What can we do about this. I am not really concerned about the wait at the embassy because I am 2 for 2 on expedite request. I placed a expedite request with the USCIS and it was approved and I placed an expedite request with NVC and it was approved there also. I am almost sure that I have to place the request with the Embassy too and I am almost sure that it will be approved there also.

Shortie81,

What was 'approved at the NVC'?

The NVC does nothing but collect fees and documents.

You still have to wait for the DS-230 packet and respond to it before anything can be sent to the Embassy.

The NVC's ultimate goal is to schedule interviews across the whole world to ease processing required by Embasies and Consulates.

I read this in a Lawyer's report a while back.
