Buried deep in Robert Mueller’s indictment of Paul Manafort is a new link between Donald Trump’s former campaign and Russian organized crime. 

The indictment (PDF), unsealed on Monday, includes an extensive look into Paul Manafort’s byzantine financial dealings. In particular, it details how he used a company called Lucicle Consultants Limited to wire millions of dollars into the United States. 

The Cyprus-based Lucicle Consultants Limited, in turn, reportedly received millions of dollars from a businessman and Ukrainian parliamentarian named Ivan Fursin, who is closely linked to one of Russia’s most notorious criminals: Semion Mogilevich. 

Mogilevich is frequently described as “the most dangerous mobster in the world.” Currently believed to be safe in Moscow, he is, according to the FBI, responsible for weapons trafficking, contract killings, and international prostitution. In 2009, he made the bureau’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. 

“Ivan Fursin was a senior figure in the Mogilevich criminal organization,” Taras Kuzio, a non-resident fellow at Johns Hopkins-SAIS’ Center for Transatlantic Relations and a specialist on the region told The Daily Beast. 

Martin Sheil, a retired criminal investigator for the IRS, said the indictment, with its connections to Fursin, helps illuminate the murky world Manafort operated in before taking the reins of Trump’s presidential bid.

Specific to what?  All the giddiness of the biased left wing media and those in the MDL?  I know, Trump will be impeached, and the Congress and SCOTUS will come together and say 'there was an error, Hillary is now our president'.  I just hope the MDL is happy when the next left wing president is elected and a special prosecutor is appointed to chase ghosts as this is the precedent that has been set.  It is a simply a MDL narrative that the "seriousness of the accusation" is all that matters.

By the way, the republican-controlled congress can investigate anyone they want..right now!  It may be helpful to you to ask yourself why they aren't doing what you think they should be doing.

That they are, and guess who is doing it?  It's Trump's stooge, Devin Nunes, the same guy who made a fool of himself a few months ago and had to recuse himself from the Trump/Russia collusion investigation.

 

Of course, the investigation is simply another attempt by Nunes to shift attention away from the Trump investigation.  It won't go anywhere because it was debunked long ago.  Ask yourself, why is Nunes investigating it only now.  Hmmm...

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is looking at some serious prison time after his federal indictment on conspiracy and money laundering charges—and it has also served to make Manafort's Brooklyn property the butt of the joke. 

A fake "landmark" designation placard appeared in front of the veteran strategist's house on the heels of the unveiling of bombshell charges against Manafort and an associate in conjunction with a federal probe into Russian attempts to meddle with the 2016 election. 

"377 Union Street will forever be known as the building that lead [sic] to the collapse of the presidency of Donald J. Trump," the makeshift sign read, according to a photo shared with Newsweek via social media Tuesday night.
