We are applying a b1/b2 visa for a 14 year old. But why, when we go to (removed 3rd party site link) to pay for the visa, it only shows the option for cash and not credit card?

Maybe because you are using a random 3rd party website? Jeez can't believe people fall for these dodgy sites.

Only use official site.

There are some countries where the US embassies only accept cash for visa payments. Not sure if some kind of exchange control issue or because of high credit card fraud.

Asking others not to post is a breach of the VJ ToS, my Bible, should be yours.

Not maybe the nicest way of putting it but not useless.
