Both one way or round trip tickets are technically fine. For reasons that makes to real-world sense, round trip tickets can sometimes be cheaper. Just be 100% sure to cancel the return flight...it's uncommon, but people have been flagged as having been on those return flights and therefore AOS was denied due to abandonment. That usually got sorted out later, but it's just much easier to not have to deal with the surprise and hassle.

Has any K1 visa holders recently ARRIVED to US on a one way ticket?

Why wouldn't one way tickets be fine? You can use whatever is cheaper or best for you.

The only entity to expect objection from is the airline itself. They may be reluctant to put a person on the flight to the US without paid return, as the airline is responsible for bringing the person back in case he or she was not admitted to the country.

I too am interested in any recent experiences with one-way tickets. Please state the airline as well. Some would refuse to sell one way tickets in the first place. But much worse scenario would be denied boarding on a purchased ticket.

Probably not considered recent but I travelled with a one-way ticket in October last year and had zero issues, neither to board the plane or being let into the US. I only travel with Norwegian and the one-way ticket was a little less than half of the price of a roundtrip ticket, so I would've been crazy to buy a roundtrip.

I came on K-1 Visa with a one way ticket in September.
I had no problem checking in, flew HAM - KEF - BOS - RIC, and got only asked in Iceland why I don't have a return ticket. I said I'm on a K-1 visa, she looked in the passport and it was alright.
