acceptance of work number verification in consulates

i have filed a i824 for my wife n child. we are asked to provide a job letter during the interview. my employer gives employment verification only through the work number. is it ok to provide a dowloaded work number verification for immigration along with my paystubs? any experiences with work number letters in consulates? kindly share

They didn’t accept it with us and we got RFIE for an insufficient income.

we contacted HR and asked them for letter stating all details plus we attached the work number printouts and EDR’s

and all the pay stubs since the beginning of employment 

 

* it was for AOS

was it @ the embassy or nvc? we have irs transcript, w2s, paystubs and the work number printout. is this not sufficient?
