Request for Initial Evidence I-485 !!!!!!!!!!

How frustrating!Today I got a RFE letter from USCIS asking us to submit all supporting tax documentation (W-2s, 1099s, Form 2555, and all supporting tax schedules) for the most recent tax year.It also indicated that my sponsor's (wife) income did not meet 125% poverty guidelines!

To make it clear, at the time we filed our AOS application we didn't have Tax returns for this year (2016) due to her surgery for 2 monthes , so we sent Tax returns from last year (2015) - those forms showed that she only made 26000$ a year .  we think to send the following :  1040 tax return for 2016 , 2015 , and 2014 ,W-2s, Employment  Letter , Bank letter for 12 monthes showing deposit and cover letter  ...etc  

USCIS gave 87 days to submit the evidence requested.

Can you please advice me on this situation? Any help would be appreciable...

The most recent tax year is 2016, and you didn't send it, so that's why you were RFE'd. That's also what you need to send: a 2016 complete tax return/transcript.

Thank u ,we send the tax papers one week ago ,is it possiple to send the tax return 2016 or wait transcript from IRS it may need several weeks .

You can send the 1040 + all W2s/1099s instead of the transcripts.

 

2016 is the most recent year, so that's what should have been sent. The under-125% level is generic because you didn't provide the info.
