I have 2 years conditional green card. Is my time waiting of 1 year waiting for I-751 to get approved consider as 1 year as well?

So 2 years of GC and 1 years of ROC pending = Time to apply for N-400

--- Please correct me if I'm wrong ---

yes that's right ... and you're qualify to apply 90 days before the 3 years anniversary of your GC

@Cocoza I just received a message that says my I751 was transferred and new office has jurisdiction. The same message you got. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not sure what they are doing. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️Hopefully they approve it before the N400 interview as my Roc is active for 614 days.

This is the procedure that takes place when you apply for N400 while I-751 is still pending. Once this happens your I-751 gets transferred to NBC from the main service center and won’t be adjudicated anymore.

It will stay there and wait until your N 400 interview is scheduled where it will then be transferred to your local field office then to be adjudicated together as a joint I-751/N400 combo interview. You won’t get a green card and will go straight to citizenship.

Wow, thank you for all explanation.

I got confused because I heard they are not processing combo interviews in Los Angeles office, but we will know January 9.

I really appreciate your comments. 😉

When did your I-751 approved? If it is not approved then you need to wait untill they approve your I-751 first. My interview for N400 was in May 2018 but they Approved my I751 in Nov 2018 after that they approved my N400. Then & then they will schedule you for Oath Ceremony.

I did Service request last month and I got a reply from Chicago office today that "They will not send me Green card and they already place me in line for Oath Ceremony".

They have NOT approved my I-751. It's going to be 24 months! since I filed. Nothing. Tomorrow it will be 120 days since they approved my N 400, that my status changed to "In line for oath ceremony". No letter yet. Now both processes are out of the normal processing times. :(

I had paid thousands of dollars, being patience, but this is truly frustrating, very unfair situation. Hope you get that letter soon. I really do. In the current political environment, where the president signs on new "staff" every other week related to immigration, the best is to have things sort out asap. Please keep me posted, I ll do the same.

I was naturalized on 5/23 this year. My 751 was approved on 4/26, but my approval notice was updated to the same message you got, it went backwards, I would not read too much into it. My 751 status still says my case has been transferred to a new office, the update is a most likely a crock because my 751 never left the field office. I got dual pending cases as well.

Good morning everyone

Can you show up to your interview with a baby?

I don't have my interview date yet ( I-751 N-400 Combo probably, I filed my I-751 in March 2017 and my N-400 In February 2018 based on the 3 years rule) but we do not have any family in the area and no nanny.

Have you attended or seen people attend their interview with their children?

Thank you for your feedback

On Dec 20th and 21st I got an update my casw was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction, on Dec 24th got a letter about the transfer, it says my case was transferred to Lee's summit, MO 64064 it doesn't say anything about a combo interview though.

I got a letter as well, like I said, I would ignore it. It is all up to the adjudicator. My case was a sad and complicated one. My husband passed away 3 days after the 400 interview.

Thank you for your condolences. I had to prove to the adjudicator that my husband was sick and couldn't make it to the possible 751 combo interview, and I made a strong case with evidence based on humanitarian reason that if same sex marriage was federal earlier, my husband would have fulfilled his wish of witnessing my naturalization. I did everything myself and got approved finally. No green card from 751 approval, just straight to citizenship. Yes, you should just just ignore that system update. Good luck.

Interestingly, I've just received a letter (I-797 Notice of Action) stating that my request for the removal of condition (I-751) has been approved and I'll receive a Green Card in 60 days!

The date of the notice was 10/22/2018!  I passed the combo interview and my IO approved my I-751 on that date!  I assume that it's a letter stating that they closed my I-751 case!

I hope I don't get my 10-year Green Card by mistake!    Since I'm a US citizen now, I'm not supposed to have a Green Card so I'll need to make an InfoPass appointment to return it if they send it to me!  :bonk:

It's the first time that I don't want to receive a Green Card from USCIS!  :rofl::rofl:
