Hi. For those with approved combo interviews. What happened next? I got approved 17 days ago. I filed for roc June 2017 and for n400 in june this year. My roc status says new card being produced since oct 12th and the n400 says on line for ceremony. So my question is, did you get the green card before your oath ceremony? I am just worried because I have seen people getting their green cards in a week or two and it also says that at the ceremony they take your green card. Is it different with the combo applications? Would really appreciate you sharing your experiences.

Thank you!

When did you get your combo interview ?

I never received a green card but at my combo interview, the IO told me I wouldn't be getting one anyway and to just hand in my expired green card.  My ROC status still says "New Card Is Being Produced" even though I already took the oath.

At the interview I got an oral approval but it took 22 days for the status to change online.  That status only appears on the egov website though.  On the dhs site it still says "Case Was Transferred And New Office Now Has Jurisdiction".

Maybe try and get a letter from your local office stating that they retained your expired green card when you got the stamp on your passport.  You can then hand over that letter at the oath ceremony in lieu of the green card.

Both were approved the same day, a day after my interview.

This is where the answer is defined by how the local office handles the interview. After my wife's combo interview the IO gave immediate verbal approval. The N400 electronic approval came the next day and then the i751 electronic approval came like 6 weeks later - a whole week after her oath ceremony. We also received an email notification earlier that her card was being produced but that status only lasted for about 24 hours. I don't think they will actually be sending a green card to her because they already have on record that she's a USC.

And when was the interview ?

She had her combo interview on July 10.

She was given an oral approval by the case officer that day for her N-400.

She received the email approval notices on July 11 for the I-751 and July 12 for the N-400.

Her 2 year green card was taken at the interview but she was given a letter to turn in at the oath ceremony.

Oath ceremony was July 25.

I’m from Sac but haven’t filed N400 yet. I think there will be no issues if you take your son with you. Security don’t

check names etc. Also be there early enough. Last week when I went to get i-551 stamp, I was waiting for 30 min to get through a security check (long line)

Hey all,

I had my N-400 Interview today at the San Bernardino, CA office. The interview went well and I had a very friendly officer. I passed the interview but the officer said he couldn’t approve on the spot because he needed to give the pending I-751 to another officer for review. At the start of the interview he told me he wouldn’t need my wife in the interview and that the I-751 wouldn’t be done today and then he did it anyway. At the end of the interview he told my lawyer “im going to try and get him into the oath ceremony for a November”

anyway, after the interview my status updated to “request for initial evidence” on my N-400 application. Anyone familiar with this? What does this mean? I’m hoping a glitch!

Hey guys, is anybody here from Fort Myers, FL office, I was serching the entire forum and can't find any info abt this office. It seems very slow, based on their timeline, I applied 4 month ago, I-751 still pending since Aug 2017, and my estimated time is Nov.2019. So frustrating... If anybody here has any info abt this office, please share with me.

Thanks
