I got this new case alert through my USCIS app few minutes ago, but it has the same info as the last update. A glitch or a major update is coming about the interview?? I won't get my hopes up, but I remain cautiously optimistic, got me excited for a few seconds. Anyone has seen this before?BlurImage_13-2-2018-0-13-25.thumb.png.038a7f59fc260336ad042881c5db08b0.png

Yes, I wish my 751 were handled by VSC. Oh well.

It is interesting how things change at the service centers.  I remember back when we filed the ROC, CSC was way ahead of VSC in terms of processing I751s, then it flipped.  I imagine it may flip again at some point.

Yes, i am expecting another 6 or 7 months wait because on VJ, none of the June and July filers with 400 pending have been 751 approved. It is a pattern and a trend, the 400 filers with 751 pending all got skipped over for their 751 so far, and that trend is likely going to continue to August filers and beyond(I am talking about CSC) I have been in line for an interview since 9/28(400). According to processing times of L.A office, it takes them about 9 to 10 months to process 400, and my NOA for 400 is 8/11, so my 400 has been pending for almost 3 months, so I am guessing another 6 or 7 months, I will get an interview letter and I will go to the interview or possibly dual interviews(751 and 400), and hopefully I will be done right at the office on the spot. I assume when my i got an update for my 400 saying it was in line for interview, I think that means my 400 was already in the L.A field office, but who knows? And I have no idea where my 751 is. I assume is should also be at the field office by now, but I could be easily wrong. Nobody knows how USCIS works internally except the adjudicators. As far as you are concerned, you are a VSC filer, so more than likely you will get your 751 approval probably before or right at the time when you become eligible for 400. CSC is the one that has been delayed in such a never before seen fashion. VSC has always taken 1 year or 1 month or so over the years and this year it is no different.  CSC this year seems to be taking 1 year and 4 to 5 months. I would not deny it stings a bit knowing my 751 is more than likely to be skipped over due to 400, but my goal is 400, and I might just become naturalized around the same time as you since you are going to file on line, it may speed up your interview scheduling by 60 percent. That is how slow CSC is compared to VSC. We might become U.S citizens at the same time, I am kind of betting on it,lol

I thought that the I751 file was pulled and sort of combined with the N400 when that was filed and ends up being processed by the local field office.  To me this means both the I751 and N400 move to an N400 timeline which does add some additional time to the I751, but like your earlier post mentioned, if naturalization is the ultimate goal, then why wait another (in our case 4+ months) to get a 10 yr GC then file the N400 and wait 8-10 months for naturalization.  We filed the N400 in mid-January, we could have filed earlier, but my wife was heading back to visit the mother and we did not want to risk having the biometrics appointment scheduled while she was away, our office is Detroit, so if USCIS timelines are to be believed, they take about 8-9 months to process an N400.

Good luck to all in this thread.

Exactly, the only drag is applicants like us might never get our10 year green cards, but if your ultimate goal is 400 ASAP, then the 10 year green card really becomes irrelevant except the approval of 751 is a mental relief. The unprecedented delay of CSC 751 processing has forced many applicants to be in this situation, and it is probably the best way if one is patient and is looking at the bigger picture. Good luck to us all too!

It is, but whether or it does depends on your local office processing times.

In my case, my most recently filed (Oct 2017) I-751 wouldn't be adjudicated until probably at least the end of  2018....but now I have recently filed my N-400, the completion date for that is showing as Sept 2018, thanks to relatively quick processing by my local office.

It is completely ridiculous that despite filing my N-400 under five year eligibility and paying two lots of I-751 fees, I will more than likely never have a physical ten year card!

CR1 / DCF (London): 2012 / 2013 (4 months from I-130 petition to visa in hand)

I-751 #1- April 2015 [Denied]

April 2015 : I-751 Joint filing package sent fedex next day 09:00am from UK ($lots - thanks).
Jan 2017: Notification that an interview has been scheduled at a local office. Bizarrely still no RFE...
Jan 2017: 2hr wait, then interview terminated before it began, due to moving my ID to another state 2 wks prior. New interview 'in a few months...maybe.'   Informed them that divorce proceedings are underway, but not finalised at this time.
March 2017: An Interview was scheduled - marked as no-show as they didn't actually send out a notification of interview. FML
April  2017: Filed an official complaint with the ombudsman, and have requested Senator & Congressman assistance
August 2017: Interview - switched to a (finalised) divorce waiver. Told that decision will be made that afternoon, but no problems foreseen with my case.
October 2017: Letter of Denial received - reason given as 'I-751 petition was not properly filed'. Discovered ex-spouse made false allegations to USCIS in 2015. No opportunity given to review & refute allegations  - contrary to USCIS policy.

I-751 #2 - Oct 2017 - Mar 2021[Denied]

October 2017: Within 72hrs of receiving denial notice, a new waiver I-751, divorce decree & $680 cheque, sent to Vermont via FedEx overnight 9am priority.
Dec 2019: Filed FOIA request for full A# file
Feb 2020: FOIA request completed - entire A# file received as a .PDF; 197 pages fully redacted, and 80 partially redacted. Don't waste your time!
March 2021: I-751 #2 denied for lack of evidence. No RFE, no interview, and evidence in previous I-751 not reviewed - contrary to policy. Huge errors in adjudication.

N-400 - Feb 2018 - Apr 2021 [Denied]

February 2018: N-400 filed online.  $725 paid to the USCIS paperwork wastage fund

February  2019: Interview - cancelled after a four hour wait due to 'missing paperwork' on their end. Promised Expedited reschedule.

March 2021: Interview letter received, strangely dated after I-751 denial. No I-751 interview conducted. N-400 interview and test passed, given 'cannot make a decision at this time' paper due to the ongoing I-751 nightmare...

April 2021: N-400 denial received citing recent I-751 denial as basis for ineligibility, even though it should have been a combo interview 🤯

I AM JACK'S COMPLETE LACK OF SURPRISE

Service Motion - March 2021 [Sent via FedEx & COMPLETELY IGNORED by USCIS]

March 2021: Service Motion request sent overnight addressed direectly to field office director, requesting urgent review and re-opening, based on errors in adjudication - citing USCIS policy, AFM and memorandums as basis for errors. This was completely ignored by USCIS.

 I-751 #3 - June 2021 - Jan 2024 [Denied]

IT'S GROUNDHOG DAY

June 2021: I-751 #3 (30+lbs/5000 pages of paperwork) & another $680 sent to USCIS via FedEx ($300+..thanks) ....

June 2021: Receipt issued, card charged, biometrics waived, infopass scheduled for I-551 stamp number ten.....

Feb 2022: RFIE (no, not an RFE, a Request For Initial Evidence) received, for copies of the divorce paperwork that they already have 😑

July 2022: Infopass for I-551 stamp number eleven.....

August 2023: Infopass for I-551 stamp number twelve....

January 2024: Denial received, ignoring the overwhelming majority of the filing, abundance of evidence, and refutation of a provably false allegation. The denial also contradicts itself in multiple places, as if it was written by someone with an IQ <50.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

2024: FML. Seriously. I'm done.

I am a bit confused, it changed from to on the last section, they are both the same messages am I missing something?   Why does it say the same thing, twice?  It looks like reading it, they have sent you or are going to send an interview letter, but just not sure why they said it twice.  Perhaps I am just not with it today.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

Oh my god. My wish came true, my interview has been scheduled, the glitch I got yesterday was in fact a precursor of this huge update. I am so excited. Finally, we are going to do the 400 interview soon!!!! Please update for me, guys, appreciate it.

Dear Shell, your I-751 would be approved before you file for N-400 since you are a VSC applicant. The long waiting is for the CSC applicants but I wonder if the online N-400 application is going to be the best option for CSC applicants with a pending I-751.

Oh my god, my interview has been scheduled. I am so excited, speechless here, finally, one step closer. Paper filer here, I believe they do have the advantage, but it varies from office to office.BlurImage_14-2-2018-1-20-14.thumb.png.43bd78d3d398d20999b0b3535f3221dc.png

Thanks, that is such a great Valentine's gift. However, I am not going to be complacent, I will continue to collect evidence until I am done with the 400 interview or even 751 interview. Almost there, this is faster than I expected. Wow.

Hi there, It's good to know your field office is taking less than a year or 6 months to process N-400. Honestly when you get your citizenship who cares about the GC lolzzzz, Regards

Yes, the ultimate goal is 400 at this point. I am glad I applied for 400 when I was eligible without just waiting for 751. Maybe my the 751 prompted the 400 interview? Who knows?
