This will take effect on September 11th, 2018. Better be approved the first time. Just need to try hard as much as you can to be approved the first time as if your life depends on it. Sounds like they won't give you a second chance anymore, no more RFE. If one got denied, he or she could be placed in deportation proceedings. This is New Trump policy. Go figure.  https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-updates-policy-guidance-certain-requests-evidence-and-notices-intent-deny

You should be ok. I am glad you have finished your immigration journey before the new Trump immigration purge in September. Congrats in advance.

This is such a lethal and intentional approach to fear the legal immigrants. Look at those dates, I see it as 9/11 (September-11). Why they choose that month and date?

I think I found my thread! I have both processes pending. I751 was filed in January 2017 and N400 in December 2017. I got transfer notice from California to Lee Summit on May 3th. I sent both application in paper (Chicago lock-box). I have been waiting for over 19 month. I got an info pass in January this year, and they only give it to me until June, so now is expired. I am currently looking for a job...Do I need to go for a new I551 in order to get my permission to work? I guess I am answering myself, but I'd like to know if somebody has gone trough the same situation (Am I out of status without the I551?). Thank you guys.

Exactly. It is all huff and puff propaganda by Trump, but the reality is it does undermine legal immigration and is a type of immigration suppression as well.

Nevermind, i found the answer to my question in the actual PDF Doc. So it's for applications received after 09/11.

Just WOW!

Yes, it applies to applications that are received after 9/11/2018, but the problem is for those of you whose applications are still pending, many of you might have to wait for a few more months until adjudicators start to adjudicate. Does that mean those of you will be s h i t out of luck if your applications get reviewed or adjudicated by 9/11 or after? It is pretty scary. I don't want to scare you guys, but I can only hope not every officer has to follow this new Trump purge since they will be given even more discretion. So I guess at this point, god speed, and pray that your applications get opened and reviewed before 9/11. This is what we get from having a racist president in the White House, the only way to end this nightmare is to vote him out or have him removed, but that attempt seems to be an uphill battle. I am grateful that I am done with this process(naturalized on 5/23), but I am praying for those of you who are still waiting. I feel for you, I feel bad that some of you might have to face this possibility of being purged like this that could lead to life altering consequences. Hopefully you guys get reviewed very soon before 9/11/2018.

Go schedule an info pass appointment ASAP. It took me 2 months just to be lucky enough to find an open spot for the appointment. Your future new job would 100% require a copy of your i551.

I'm not feeling optimistic nowadays since 9/11 is only less than two months away!
