There is one thing I can always count on when it comes to the US immigration application - I'm usually (always?) one of the last ones to get approved!  :dead:

Good idea, but if it goes over 2 years, you may think about court action due to unreasonable delays. Fingers crossed, what a drag and nightmare this is for you.

Your case is definitely outside of normal processing times for CSC. Did it transfer to a field office? If yes, what was the date? Count 6 months from that date and if it is past that, then you are out of the normal times.

Does anyone know how long it usually to receive a letter with the date for the interview after the status update? I called Tier 1 and they couldn’t tell me what the date of my interview is. Do you think Tier 2 can see the date? Or I just have to wait? I need to book a flight asap or the ticket cost is going to increase when the date gets closer. x_x

We just received notice of an interview yesterday.

We received the online letter with interview date today.

I would give it a couple of days. Keep checking your online account. Could show up at any moment.

By the way, are you referring to an N400 citizenship interview. Your status still shows AOS.

We had our combo interview on the 06/25 at Houston FO. Checked in and after waiting for about 5 minutes, we were called in for the interview. The IO said they have to process 10 year GC  first before touching N-400. Both of us were called in for the interview. After looking through our I-751 application and provided evidence, the office said someone had looked at our file back in 2016 but for whatever reason they did not request for evidence and it stayed at CSC until it was transferred in early May like lot of us in here. The office suspected that we did not provide enough evidence with the application and that is why no decision was made on our case. IO asked us few more question about our joint assets and responsibilities but still it was not enough for them to make a decision. After checking with their supervisor they agreed to take the N-400 interview and not hold up that process since we were there already. They took my spouse for the N-400 interview and after 15 minutes came back with the good news that they passed the interview. The IO said they will send a letter explaining what additional evidence we can submit to have our I-751 approved and mentioned that it was easier for to conduct the joint interview since both of us went for the interview. So for everyone out there wondering whether to go or not with their spouse, I would say go as you have nothing to loose. Take additional evidence in case if you are still waiting to hear on the  I-751 during your interview appointment. Chances are you might be in same situation as us but better prepared than us. So now while we wait for the snail mail to arrive we are collecting additional evidence like tax returns, joint lease, photographs, bank accounts, utility bills, etc. since filing the I-751 that were not originally submitted.

One step at a time, slowly but surely getting close to USCIS journey.

Good luck everyone!

Good luck everyone!

I am sorry you still have to wait for the RFE to finish the adjudication of 751, but at least you passed the 400 interview. That is what I did to maximize my chances of the approvals. I took additional evidence of our marriage(evidence of the continuation of our marriage). I actually presented the additional evidence to the IO, and he told me I had submitted enough of 751, he told me he didn't need additional evidence, but my situation was a bit complicated because at the time of the interview, my husband was very sick and he passed 3 days after, they could not approve my 400/751 until a few weeks later after the passing of my husband. I am an U.S citizen now, got naturalized on 5/23.  Anyway, It is always better to have as much evidence as one can anyway. Good luck, keep us posted. Hang in there, you are almost there.
