Uploading evidence for N400. It asked for green card but I've seen on a different thread people are uploading there and away and Biometrics form. Is this necessary?

You need to upload GC front and backside, the GC extension letter and I-751 Biometric appointment since you are applying with a pending I-751. As well as other supporting documents, regards.

Just to clarify, even though it does not say anywhere here for the extension letter or the biometric appointment letter, and it's been logged in that it's a pending I 751, you still have to upload more than just the green card?

Yes, you have to upload it. It is not required but good to upload it. I did the same and many applicants did it.

Thanks for the information! I had read through both the paper document and the instructions and did not see anything that said to provide those documents. I just wanted to know if I had missed it somewhere. So really it's not necessary or mandatory to upload the extension letter or the Biometrics letter, just a suggestion.

Not as a voice of contention but more of discussion: if this was a good idea, why is it not suggested anywhere on any of the lists? I mean for marriage , I'm just uploading my birth certificate  and not even bothering with a passport As additional proof even though it lists both.

I guess my  point is that they would be accessing files immediately upon receipt to check eligibility, therefore they can see that the letter was sent and You were complaint with the Biometrics appointment. it just seems redundant.

Yes, you are absolutely right it is not mentioned nor it is required. I uploaded it because I have a pending I-751 so I made sure to cover enough evidence regarding my pending ROC process. Again it's a personal choice and not required as you have mentioned. Off topic, the weather has been so good in Portland can't wait for the summer  :) regards.

Heeeeeey! You're in Portland? and if so, you must be as familiar as us with the local Portland office :-)

We had our feeble attempt to get the I 551 stamp last Friday but there was a system-wide shutdown throughout the Uscis so hubby couldn't get his stamp. (So we made a field trip and went to Bridgeport Brewery a couple blocks away LOL) .... We did take the opportunity to speak to the officer there and he said as soon as we send our file online, they will get it there at the local office. He said the process after that is to go to my husband's online file and they will look up and find that he has an i 757/ Roc pending and Request his application from CSC. that's why I'm rationalizing there's no need to send in those documents. But since I now know to consider it, I'll fight with our scanner and get the documents in there while I'm waiting for a couple others to arrive in the mail :-)

All the best for your pending N400!

Yeah, I go to school in Portland and USCIS is 2 miles drive from there. The officer is right these days the digital applications provide so much ease to the applicants and USCIS. They have all of our information. Oh bummer you need to reschedule infopass appointment again. I am debating whether to get the extension or not. I might go next month. Have a wonderful rest of the immigration journey and I am pretty positive you will be done successfully sooner regards.

I am going to see if I can make an info pass appointment regarding my scheduled oath ceremony. I am supposed to have lost my citizenship eligibility due to the passing of my husband, he passed 3 days after the 400 interview, but I was thinking wouldn't the officer who recommended the 400 approval be aware that my husband passed away because I submitted his death certificate? Either he was clueless about INA 319(A) or his supervisor or district director overrode the law and really went ahead and approved me, if that is the scenario, that will be a miracle for sure because I did submit a request at the 400 interview to expedite the oath ceremony based on a special circumstance and humanitarian ground, my attempt was to get them approved both my 751 and 400 and swore me in because my husband was dying and I already knew about INA 319(a). I am not getting my hopes up though, and I fully expect to lose my citizenship eligibility. My lawyer told me to fill out the form 445 and  take it to the ceremony and they should and they will reject me after i check "YES, I AM WIDOWED" on the form, but my lawyer told me if they discrentionarily approved me despite my husband's passing, I need to demand something in writing to protect myself so I won't run the risk of being de naturalized. Anyway, I will find out, my expectation is low, and I wish they would reject me already so I won't have to go to the oath ceremony and get rejected there, it is like rubbing salt into my wound. I am willing just to wait till next year and use my 10 year green card(still waiting for it to arrive in the mail) to re apply 400 next August. I want to do everything right and I want to be careful. What a drag, but I am thrilled and grateful that my 751 was approved on my late's husband's birthday, what a birthday gift from him. Good luck to you all.

My spouse has been waiting 13 months for Removal of Conditions, filing the I-751 on Sep 28, 2016. His conditional permanent residence extension will expire in about a month and we've been trying to get an Infopass appointment for a I-551 stamp. We've tried about 100 times online, but it always says there are no appointments available. So, he's planning to file a N-400, thinking that might automatically extend his green card extension. However, our attorney says filing a N-400 does not extend your permanent residence. So now we're stuck. Even though USCIS says there are no walk-ins, we're going to try it anyway, since we can't get an appointment online.

It’s gonna sound crazy but , try to look for info pass through you phone or if you use phone to set up app and doesn’t apply, try laptop or just use another one. I hade same problem and I couldn’t find spot, I switched from my phone to laptop and I could choose day time etc

hope this will help.

Hi everyone! I want to share my Pending ROC and N400 cases. So, I applied for removal of condition way back in October of 2016. Got my NOA1 dated 11/03/16. And on 10/23/17 I went ahead and applied for N400. I sent it through USPS. I got my NOA1 with a priority date 10/27/2017. January 10/2018 I received an email stating that there is an update on my N400 case and there it was I was scheduled for an interview at Denver CO office. My interview was in 02/14/2015 at 7:30 am. I was called 8 mins early. My interview went pretty smooth and the officer told that I passed but unfortunately he cannot give me an approval because he has to review my ROC application. He then said CSC ended up sending my ROC here in Denver since I filed N400 while my roc is still pending. I’ll keep you posted if there’s any changes on mine. Good luck guys!

I wished I looked at this thread before I went to the interview...

i have a very similar situation. Here’s my timeline.

2016/10 applied i751

2018/02 applied n400

2018/05/01 n400 interview

2018/05/03 751 online status, transfer to other office

When the officer called my name, he asked if my wife is there. I went alone because I didn’t know she needs to go and plus we live in different state for employment reason ( happily married still). He said he needs to ask his supervisor if it’s ok just me going through the interview since he has two of my case. I waited in his office for around 5 mins and he cane back with my i751 files. Started to verify my files for i751. After 25 mins, he gave me the n400 exam and I easily passed. Then he was looking at his computer to verify my n400 application. Found out we don’t live together. I explained it’s employment purpose and I am trying move there with her once I got a job there. Currently living with my daughter at the house we bought 3years ago. He nodded and moved to verify other yes/no questions. I had prepared lots of file showing we are still happily married and we are involuntary separated. But he didn’t want to look at them. The whole process took almost two hours. Finally he gave me a decision can’t be made paper saying it’s a complicated case with i751 pending so he couldn’t  pass me yet. We need to wait until i751 is done. I asked how long would it be he responded unknown, maybe they will schedule a interview but not sure.

That’s it! Received a status updated yesterday for my 751 being transferred to other office. I am lost. Do they send it back to csc again to review my case?
