Update:  Katya had her N400 interview today, but before that started, the very nice IO at the Detroit office invited me in as well and covered the I751 with both of us.  Other than updating our tax records and verifying some of our information on that form, it was a five minute interview.  Then I left and Katya went through the N400 interview and passed with oath to be scheduled later.

Good Luck to everyone!

Excellent!

That's exactly what happened to us, and we're still waiting for an Oath Ceremony date! LOL

Let's hope Detroit is a bit more efficient than South FL!

Congratulations!

Just walked into USCIS requesting an emergency visit, just done submitting Stan's death certificate. The officer was super nice, she even took my death certificate all the way to the 8th floor and handed it to the supervisor where I did my 400 interview. Monica, the officer told me the supervisor will mail me a decision very soon right after she got the death certificate. She told me it was positive. I asked her about 400, she told me she is not sure, but she sensed the positive attitude from the supervisor. Maybe I will get my 751 approval soon. Maybe my husband is from heaven protecting me. Maybe better days are coming.

Great. Thank you. Did you include any tax returns? Of course, they will have the I-751 application with them then too

We did get tax transcripts for the past four years and we last two years when the IO interviewed the both of us for the I751.  According to Katya, they did not ask for any additional information during the N400 interview, but we took with us a copy of my birth certificate, her divorce decree from her first marriage, copies of all the NOAs we had since we started this journey, her EAD card and SSC.  The IO seemed a little flummoxed that Katya no longer had a physical expired GC since it was taken away from her when she got her I551 stamp, but she handled it.  Anyway, the IO did not ask for any of it.

Yes, I hope I will hear from them soon. I expect my 400 to be rejected. I will just reapply next year and I won't need to submit the evidence for marriage anymore. Hope you will hear from them soon too.

My husband is completing his online N100. In the family section it asks about children. We have no children together, just my four children. Two of them are grown adults and no longer live at home. It specifically states to add stepchildren.

When you get to the end of the application, there's a section for evidence. By adding my children as his stepchildren, it triggers the request to upload evidence

"Upload documentation of your parental relationship to each child. Make sure the text is readable. This may include the following: birth certificate, court order naming you as a child parent, final adoption certificate or decree"

What the are we supposed to do in our situation?

Thanks!
