I got news, I received a massage on my online inbox from USCIS that due to unforeseen circumstances they had to cancel my previously scheduled interview on June 05-2019 (my first N-400 interview)  that they will rescheduled interview appointment information under separate notice, then I checked the status fo my case and it seems like they send me a new notice with my new interview appointment.

Thank you for this update. This is great news actually! I know the Oath should be the next logical step, but AT LEAST someone else took a charge of your case and I think they want to make sure everything is ok after i751 is approved. This is better than waiting till “nobody know me when” Oath. Good luck and keep posting what happens next.

I filed my cases the same time as you, I-751 on Feb-2018 and N-400 Jan-2019, at this moment I have my I-751 approved (Green card on hand and NO combo Interview)  and I was waiting for my N-400 decision, but today I got a massage on my online inbox from USCIS that due to unforeseen circumstances they had to cancel my previously scheduled interview on June 05-2019 (my first N-400 interview)  that they will rescheduled interview appointment information under separate notice, then I checked the status fo my case and it seems like they send me a new notice with my new interview appointment.

This sounds so weird to me. Good luck man. I really give up.

Hello!! I just came back from my combo interview at the San Antonio field Office.  The experience was great, our IO was super nice and had both my files on her desk and announced right away that she will conduct both interviews today.  My husband was there for both, she just reviewed information about us and our children.  My children where included on my i-751 application.  So once we went trough that, she said she will approve it once we completed the N-400 part.  I got my English reading and writing first, then my civics questions.  I got the first 6 right, and I  passed.  She told me they have an Oath ceremony this coming Friday, and asked me if I wanted to be included, to wich I of course said YES! since we are staying in San Antonio for work until friday because of work anyways.  So we were asked to wait so they could schedule me for the Oath and meanwhile she worked on approving the ROC, and came back out to let me know that she approved and my children will be receiving their green cards.  She put a sticker on my Green card, stating that Conditions where removed so I can present it at the oath.  My estimated completion time was March 2020, now it will be November 1st God willing.

Thank you everbody for your support, and good luck on the rest of our journey!

I hope you hear back from them soon, good luck and if you have any news please let me know

Well , I for a response to my inquiry I submitted on Sep 12, via phone 1-800. The reply came in a form of a written letter.

“USCIS records indicate a formal adjudicative decision has not yet been made on your form N-400, Application for Naturalization. Although your application is still pending, USCIS anticipates you should receive a notice of action on your case within approximately 60-90 days of this notice. USCIS makes every effort to process cases within the projected timeframes and in the order in which they were received. Please be advised that posted processing times are goals based on Field office averages. The goals are subject to change and can vary from office to office.”

So, 180 days (almost) since the interview plus 60-90 days for possible decision.
I really don’t know what to believe, but I have almost no faith in reply.

Hi Johny,

didnt you already have n400 interview? Are they calling you for another interview? My 751 is still pending although I already had my n400 interview.,

yes, I had my first N-400 interview on Jun-05-2019 while my I-751 was pending I passed the civics and government test but they could't take a decision because my I-751, I don't know why they re-scheduled. I think it's better than still waiting, my I-751 was approved on Oct-7-2019 and I received my green card one week later.

I hope they will take an action for real this time. Unfortunately, you have no other options but to wait :(

Hello everyone,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask the question, but I have both I-751 and N-400 applications pending; filed I-751 in June 2018 (Vermont Service center) and N-400 (DC) in June 2019. One thing I wonder when I look at the processing times is that the time ranges are so wide; for instance the processing time for N-400 in Washington DC is 9-22 months?? Does that mean someone will get processed in 9 months and the other person in 22?? Or how does it even work?

Hi @smj59.  The low end of the range shows the time it takes to complete 50 percent of cases, and the high end shows the time it takes to complete 93 percent of cases.

Hello guys!

So my journey is finally over! Became citizen yesterday!

I had my I-751 pending with N-400.
My I-751 was transferred twice, and since July 1st it was at NBC center. About to weeks ago I called uscis and spoke with a tier two officer asking if it will be a combo interview and I was told no! He saod that most likely I will be send home because my I-751 is pending and it’s in NBC and not at my local office. And he can’t do anything about it. Thank god I took my spouse. When they called my name. He asked if I was with anyone I said yea my spouse is here. Have them come in because I need do conduct I-751 first in order to do n-400. So he asked few questions like how we met, where we work and who proposed. Looked at pics took more evidence and that was it. About 5-10min. Then I was alone, answers 6 questions correct in a row and I passed. By the way don’t stress the questions are literally the same from the book they give you when you go for biometrics so study that don’t stress yourself with other websites or apps or whatever you are using. After that I was told to wait as the oath ceremony in jersey is the same day.

I asked the officer also why the status never updated that my case was transferred to local office he wasn’t sure but he had all the files he needed.

I wish everyone on here luck luck luck please don’t stress because it’s not worth it. Everything will turn out right!
