Hi guys!

I had a waiver interview, it was very smooth, it took 20 minutes, few questions, he pretty much asked me to tell what happened and why we got divorced, the officer told me that he was going to mail me his decision.

My attorney asked for a timeframe and his said that they were a little bit behind and he couldn’t give us a specific timeframe.

My interview was on Aug 29 and I haven't receive any news until now. I saw in other forums that my case has to go through a supervisor or sometimes they just don't update the online system.

I'm so anxious 😕

Any thoughts?

Hi there,

I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me with the following:

How can I schedule an Infopass appt to get the I-551 stamp?  And how far in advance should I do it?  It seems like it cannot be done online anymore.

I-751 filed in April 2018 and has been pending since then.  I got the 18 month extension letter that will expire in December.

N400 filed online on 04/06/19.

Thanks!

Yes, system online gives you 30 days to keep updating and filling the steps, until you pay and click submit.

I had this experience.
-I was waiting for my I-751 to be approved

-I had interview in May 2019 for N400- decision not made cos of pending I-751 (I got my green card after 19 months of processing, and 2 months after N400 interview)
-my extension 18 months letter was expiring in August, but I had travel plans and I called them to schedule infopass for stamp into my passport. I got the infopass the same week. This was in June.

-Steps for infopass: You have to cal UsCIS customer service number. Get to the representative (or Tier1). Explain that you need infopass for the stamp. They will tell you only Tier 2 can schedule it for you. At that point they will connect you to Tier 2, or (like in my case) they will take your phone number and they will call you within next 72 hours. Tier 2 will examine why you need it, and if he/she approves, you will get a date and time for your infopass in your field office.
- you get code and PIN via e-mail for your infopass, then you print the paper with details. You will take the paper with you to show it to security and the officer at the field office.

good luck.

Sure.  One piece of advice, submit it a day or two after your window opens.  There were a couple of members that filed/submitted immediately after the window opened (within an hour or so) and it created a headache for them as the system actually marked it filed the previous day.  I am not completely sure, but that system may use the AoE time zone for their clock, who knows.  Those members did eventually get a positive outcome, but to avoid the headache for yourself, wait a day or two before you hit the submit button.

Good Luck!

You have to call to schedule the appointment now.  In general, wait until you are within 30 days of your extension letter expiring.

I just got a notification of my N-400 interview being scheduled. My I-751 has been pending for 22 months now which, I think, will make this a combo interview. Do I need to call USCIS to let them know that I have a pending I-751?

Has your I-751 status updated to show it was transferred to another location?

If your I-751 was not transferred, it may be a good idea to call USCIS and check with Tier 2 after you receive your N-400 Interview letter.

I got an update back in August that they transferred my I-751 to NBC.

Can you share your experience with the interview? Thank you very much!

When my wife and I had our combo before her N400 interview, the IO simply verified the biographic information on the I751 for both of us, and asked us if we had any additional information to add to the package which we did, new tax transcripts.  The whole thing took about 5 minutes.

Good Luck!
