Forgot to update in this thread... After my N-400 interview was cancelled in July because they didn't receive my I751 yet (after I drove 2 hours and got to USCIS) there was no action on my case. I submitted 2 inquiries into my I751 status (in August, and again in September). Both were closed stating they were waiting on the file to be received. The I751 shows it was transferred on 7/3 (the date the interview was supposed to be/cancelled).

I reached out to my congressman the last week of September (26th I think), and they submitted a congressional inquiry. USCIS called me on Monday 10/7 to schedule me for a combo interview on Tuesday 10/8.

Went to the interview in Jacksonville, wife was with me for both parts of the interview (IO didn't ask her to leave). Passed! Received notification before I left the building that the case was approved.

Received an update on my account on 10/9 that the oath was scheduled... Got the letter in my account today, oath is for 10/25.

Thank you for sharing this experience! I have been waiting for the decision, after I had N400 interview, but I751 wasn’t there to be approved. Then, I got it after 2 months after interview and still nothing about decision. I submitted inquiry, and finally I sent letter to Representative (is that what you have done? ) and to the field office director and officer who interviewed me (cos it says we can do that on N652, received at interview). Even tho they extended processing time for N400 in my field office from max 8.5 months to 13 months, I based my inquiries on 120 days passed from the interview.

I got the email with instructions and some attachments to fill in. And I sent it last Saturday. Hopefully it works. This is one of Los Angeles districts. Thank you.

Yep. That was the same for me. I had to fill out a privacy release, and include some details on my case. I created a timeline for them with all the dates.

I followed up with the office about a week later to see if they received any updates. (Which they did).

I see! Thank you! How did you know they contacted USCIS field office? They let you know in the beginning, or when everything was done?

So after I emailed their office the paperwork they asked for on Thursday 9/25, I followed up the next day (Friday 9/26) to confirmed if they received it. They let me know that they did, and that they had reached out to USCIS on my case for an update.

Then a week later (Friday 10/4) I emailed them to ask how long it typically takes for USCIS to respond.  They replied back that day and said they had already responded, and that USCIS told them that my I751 was now sitting at the Jacksonville USCIS Field office. They also mentioned that they were asking for a detailed status update on the case with next steps from USCIS. It appears that kicked them into gear because I received a phone call on Monday 10/7 to schedule the interview.

It only started to happen fast once I got our Representative involved. Prior to that, my I751 was in a black hole for for almost 22 months.

That is such a positive news that SOMETHING can be done, cos USCIS are protected better than Area 51. 🤪

Hi Dilip,

I think you already done for renunciation of Indian passport and you got your OCI card.

Can you please help me which process is better :

A: Only renunciation than after submit for OCI / how many days will take for this?

B: Renunciation with OCI at the same time/ how many days will take for this?

As you applied renunciation first and than OCI.

Thanks
