i already get my N-400 interview schedule for 9/23 on 8/5. and on the same date, my I-751 got transferred. Oddly, on 8/6, my I-751 got transferred again.

Where did it transfer second time?  May be they are trying to bring your I-751 where they can send it with N-400

Hello. Not sure if this happened with anyone else.

Applied for I 751 in March 2017. Applied for N400 March 2018. Passed N400 interview in November 2018. RFE for all marriage evidence docs in Jan 2019. Responded within a week. N400 approved in June 2019. Became citizen in July 2019. No update to I 751, USCIS website shows 'Transferred to Local Office', so still open. Got the US Passport within a day due to travel to Canada. No issues at the border.

I 751 inquiry response was waiting for security checks.

Not sure why you care? Lol...you’re a citizen...just enjoy that and maybe delete the uscis website from your bookmarks 😉

(Also it’s completely normal since their system doesn’t always update straight away - or ever maybe)

I know you want a clean cut closer of I-751 case, but you are a US citizen  and I-751 approval is not  a matter anymore, they did not bother to update it.  Since it is transferred to local office. IO checked and approved it and then he or she approved your N-400.    Relax.

It is interesting, but from what I have heard, the I751 has to be approved prior to someone being scheduled for the oath ceremony, so I would assume your local office adjudicated the I751 with the N400.  That being said, I suppose USCIS can make some mistakes, or the status is not right online (for the I751), but as others have said, I would not worry too much about it.

Congrats!

Hi all, I'm wondering if I need to confirm with USCIS if my scheduled N400 interview is combo interview? My wife and I are both planning to go to the interview and we're ready for combo interview but do you think I need to have them confirm that or remind them that I have pending I-751 ??

No need to confirm/remind imo as it wouldn’t change anything.  Your wife being there either way is good though.

USCIS response to I 751 inquiry about outside normal processing time was that they are waiting on pending security checks.

Hi everyone,

I have been looking at this thread for months and benefited from it. Thanks.

Now I am posting my case timeline as a giveback.

I-751 submitted to VSC 1/30/2018

N-400 submitted 1/23/2019 and Local Office is Mount Laurel, NJ

N-400 interview 6/13/2019 with I-751 pending

Since the IO did not have my I-751 file, my N-400 was not approved on spot.  However, she still did a combo interview. I really appreciated it.

6/19/2019: wrote a letter to her one week later.

6/24/2019: an update that my I-751 was transferred to my local office to schedule an interview (why?)

6/26/2019: an update that my I-751 was transferred to another office with jurisdiction.

7/1/2019: received a letter of I-797C stating that my case was transferred to NBC to schedule an interview (Still why?)

7/9/2019: wrote 2nd letter to IO.

7/14/2019: Put an inquiry for N-400 online.

7/30/2019: Called USCIS to inquire my I-751 status. Though my I-751 was still in processing time, the representative (1st tier) was very nice to help me put an inquiry. He told me that my I-751 case was in VSC (not NBC) and my local office sent the result of my I-751 interview back to VSC after they received my I-751 case from VSC. (If you are extremely polite, they will help you.)

I think that my local office sent an approval suggestion with the result of my interview to VSC and waited for their authorization to adjudicate both of my 2 cases.

8/9/2019: I-751 “New card is being produced” and “Case Was Approved”

N-400 “Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled”

I know wait is really frustrating, but this is just a matter of time.

Good luck, everyone!
