My wife had her passport in 3 days after her oath.  If you apply in person at a passport agency (not the post office) you can even get one while you wait if you pay enough and have immediate travel plans.

Actually my passport, passport card, naturalization certificate all came exactly 6-7 business days after I applied which was on Oath day. I'm so glad my decision to apply for N400 with pending ROC worked out in my favor. That's kinda like what the officer told me. He said "I'm only talking to you now cuz of the N400 and we are now at a point where i HAVE TO look at your roc".

True I may have gotten my green card earlier and applied for N400 after getting it but back then I didn't see the benefit and there was no guarantee either. I know most ppl in this channel applied for N400 already but anyone on the fence should go for it with pending ROC.

Working on my global entry now and can finally put all this behind me. I shredded all my previous USCIS notices and any immigration related docs. So glad I don't have to hoard these docs with me everywhere I go.

Thank you visajourney. Adios!

Wish you all the best. Y'all gonna be thru with is very very soon and when it's done, gotta find that next goal. ❤️

Had my interview today in Santa Ana, CA.

Passed the test, but decision cannot be made due to pending ROC. Hopefully I’ll hear something in a couple of days.

Less than a week after my wife got her notice that she's been approved for citizenship she received her new green card in the mail. Obviously good to have until she has her ceremony, but we would prefer just to skip right to the citizenship part.

Congratulations! Does she know when or where her oath ceremony is gonna be yet?

when preparing my N400/I751 combo interview, I realized that my home country passport has expired. is that going to be an issue during the interview? I don't have enough time to get a new one either. :(

No issue - they didn’t even look at mine

Nope. I was hoping the letter from USCIS would be her oath invitation but unfortunately not. Hopefully we will know this week.

Congrats!

I completely agree, the ROC clock and the N400 clocks are independent in my view, so it is also my view that if naturalization is the ultimate goal, there is really no reason to forgo applying due to a pending ROC.  In our case, it moved the ROC adjudication up a few weeks, but the N400 was now done as well and those that waited were just starting the naturalization clock.

Btw, we just completed the Global Entry process.  We had our interview last Wednesday and my wife received her card yesterday, I expect to get mine today.

Good Luck!

Well, she will only keep the new GC for a few weeks as she will have to turn it in at the oath ceremony.

Congrats and good luck!

Nop, nothing since June 26th. What about you?

Same, nothing since july 9th. I did call uscis, couldnt get tier 2 officer so was told after 90 days i can submit an inquiry. Originally i got decision cant be made yet due to my i751 pending. No she said its recommended for approval but they reserve 120 days to make a decision. Which if this will indeed take that long im missing family reunion. I thought with it finally moving i was close to be done and actually can make it there in time, now ive lost any hope. Oh well, waiting game now.
