Had my interview today and It went really well. Interview was at 10am we got there at 9:20am and was called by 9:55am, the best officer ever. I asked if my husband needed to come with me and she said Yes, as you have i751 pending so I told her my two babies were there with us cuz we didn't have anybody to care for them and she said oh don't worry it is totally fine. We got in her office, sworn in and she said let's start with  i751 asked for IDs and resident card, then reviewed the application where I needed to provide the answers and then said well you have two (2) kids there is nothing else I need to ask lol, I thanked her and she said let's move to N400 and we will start with the question right away. Asked me if I minded my family in the room with me while n400 interview was in progress and I said not a all, I would appreciate if they can stay with me so she conducted the interview with my husband and kids in there.

Questions:

1- what month do we vote for president?

2- what ocean is in the east coast?

3- who is your state governor?

4-what are to major political party in the U.S?

5-what did Abraham Lincoln do?

6-When was the Constitution written?

Then asked me to read:

When do we vote for president?

And told me to write we vote for President in November.

She didn't asked for any additional documents except my son's birth certificate cuz he wasn't included in the application as he wasn't born when we filed.

She gave me a paper to confirm all of my information were correct, and made me sign in the ipad twice. She then approved both cases and scheduled me for oath ceremony. They gave me the oath ceremony letter and it will be Friday 12th at 1:35pm so this Friday is a big day for me.

USCIS sites was updated right away to Your card is being produced and we emailed you oath ceremony.

Oakland Park FL office.

The officer was polite, calm and friendly we loved her since we saw her.

That sounds great! Thanks for sharing!

I do have tax transcripts & tax return docs for past three years, all good. Yet I've seen people got RFE for missing W2 forms in their files... the addressed on our W2 forms are messed up, my I-751 lawyer said in this case we do not submit any W2 at all. So you think tax transcripts & tax return docs are good enough? Without W2 at all?

I guess I’ll find out in a few weeks at my interview haha. I didn’t submit w2’s for ROC or N400

I did get an RFE (I-751) for not submitting W2s as a supporting documentation with our tax returns. When I submitted the RFE response, I sent Tax return transcripts along with all the W2s. I did the same for N-400 too.

I would go with what your lawyer said though. If they want it, they'll ask for it.

Thanks @MK108

I will not submit W2 for now BUT bring them to the interview. Do I need to submit our driver licenses as well for N400?

Only benefit I could see from submitting drivers licenses could be to show you both have the same address on them.  Mine and my wife’s have different addresses on though lol

@livkev, yes, I submitted them too. You don't need to but like @Cjkylie said, it would be proof of same address for you both. The more the better.

Exactly! We have different addresses too since hubby got his license years before the case started. So you didn't submit them? I might as well not to if it won't benefit anything...

Seriously we can't wait to have the whole process ended, it is so time/spirit consuming and annoying!

Thank you! Just replied Cjkylie, with different addresses on, there is no benefit of submitting it.

I hope I'd have the chance the explain it in the interview if they asked. Anyway thank you!

Hi everyone I am reviewing my application for N400 and ready to submit but one thing I am not sure: 2018 W2 of me and hubby, showing different home address, his shows our previous address - the apartment we lived in 2018, he changed it after receiving his W2, yet mine shows the current address.

Should I still submit them or don't just in case officer sees them as some kind of red flag??

No need to submit W2 forms.  Submit tax transcript and if you do not have it, take it to interview.

Ah! Got it. However, if you and your spouse live together, wouldn't they need to change the address on the license once they move?

I had to do that multiple times. When I was in Colorado, all we had to do was submit a change of address online and print a sticker with our new address and adhere it to the back where change of address space was provided. I'm in Nebraska now and they require a full on change of card for an address change.

The different addresses might seem like a red flag to them. Is it possible for you to visit the DMV and do a change of address and then send the application with licenses showing the same address?

That might save you some trouble later on.

My I-751 and N-400 are approved on the same day, July 3, 2019 and I-751 says  New card is being produced.   I was told by several in this board that since both cases were approved at the same time, I will not receive 10 year GC.  Now today ( July 9)  I got a message,  card was mail to me.  I am surprised.

My Oath is on 15th July.  Do you think, I will get the card by mail by Saturday  ( July 13, 2019)?

Depends on the state I think - here in California for example, the address doesn’t get updated on the card until you renew. The address on my wife’s card is 3 addresses ago lol, and mine is our last previous address.

The records at the DMV are updated though, but my license won’t reflect my new address until I renew next year. It’s completely normal and not a red flag.

Agreed, with ROC and N400 filings at the closest at least 1 year apart, biometrics would seem to follow suit.  Heck, back when Katya filed, the N400 biometrics appointment also allowed her to get an I551 stamp.

Many of you get your biometrics shortly after you file your I-751, long before you can file your N400.  In spite of this, the two timelines seem to converge.  See all the people who are having both interviews together.

For us, the biometrics were about 9-10 months after the I-751 was filed.  The I-751 seems almost irrelevant, since the N400 is likely to get citizenship by about the end of the year.  Then we won't care how long the I-751 takes.  It will be moot. We could easily have postponed the I-751 biometrics, saved a trip, and then done the I-751 biometrics when we do the N400 biometrics.  YMMV.

Thank for for updating your timeline. (My Assistant, then edit/add my timeline.)

@dilip @Ausa thanks Dilip for providing the timelines. Well they approved i-751 and said card is being produced and for n400, they also approved and scheduled me for Oath just 3 hours after interview. That was a quick turn around.

So my status updates to Oath mail was sent this morning.
