Wow that's different. I am a July 2018 n400 filer and got my biometrics same month. So I will say its been 10 months in total from application submission to interview date. I will say to reach out to USCIS. Right now, many July filers has gotten interview notices

Hello! I'm June 2017 filler and had my N-400 interview in February 2019. Not sure if it was a combo or not (IO asked for evidence and relationship related questions but didn't call my husband in)...anyway, he didn't approve neither N-400 nor I-751 and I didn't hear anything back since then... made a bunch of calls, service requests, and info pass apt. All they can tell my both petitions are pending :( I had to go and get already second stamp in my passport ...so tired of this bs. Yesterday I wrote a letter to my congressman, not sure if that will help though.

My I-751 is pending for 23 months now (no RFE), N-400 is more than 90 days passed after the interview (I heard they have to make a decision within 120 days but not sure if this applied to my case).

Any other advice about what else can be done? Thanks!

VieLu-  I am in the same situation.  Applied I-751 in Nov 2017 ( not approved), Applied N-400 in Nov 2018.  N-400 interview on June 28, 2019 in Philly office.  Did not anything about combo interview.  How you send email to USCIS?  Since I am not still out of processing time.

if you are concerned about your case you need to call USCIS. And equest to have a call directed to a supervisor. Because perhaps Tier 1 is not able to completely resolve an inquiry, the call may be transferred to the Tier 2 level of live assistance to be answered by a USCIS officer. I did call that way 3 times in a month and it worked.

What did you find out calling three times?

I’m so sorry to hear about your experience. What is your local office? I feel like it’s local office’s fault. They are super backlogged. My friend had something similar. She was waiting for her i751 petition decision (with divorce waver) and the case was just laying in the local office for over a year. When she went for InfoPass to stamp her passport she asked why was it so long. Officer told her that officer who was handling her case was no longer working for USCIS and her case was sitting on her desk ever since. That is purely ridiculous. Nobody even bothered to clean the office and look at the cases on the desk. I don’t know what to advice because I’m myself waiting for forever. Keep on calling, keep on submitting inquiries.

That's so strange because when I went to the infopass appointment the officer couldn't even tell me who's assigned to my case. I asked if that's the same IO who interviewed me for N-400 and she said she can't see such information...

My local office is Philly. I don't think they are very backlogged at least I've got my interview pretty fast.

I am on a similar boat, except my interview was earlier this month, so I guess I'll sit tight before sounding any alarms. But I'm ready to contact my congressman if it comes to that. Please let us know how the conversation with your congressman is going once you hear back from them.

Also, might I ask, were there any complications or "red flags" in your case, such as you and your spouse are living in different states? Or maybe you don't have joint accounts? Or maybe you got divorced? Stuff like that...

Bring your wife just in case. I was in the same situation earlier this month. I751 pending, and N400 letter did not mention I751, but IO interviewed my wife as well.

I had a rude Officer who complained about the concurrent adjudication of both applications, claiming I made a mistake and should have waited before filing the N400. However, we know that's not the case, so I hope you get a more qualified Officer  that treats you better. Let us know how it goes and good luck!

No, no red flags at all. Both of us have never been married before, never divorced, dating for 6 years, married for 4 years, always lived together...joint account, lease, insurances, letters from friends, pictures - tons of evidence. That's why this bs situation pissing me off so much. Especially because we have to fly abroad for more than a month in July (for work purposes)...and I'm stuck in this limbo :(

So I guess it comes down to the luck of the draw then. My officer was a bit adversarial and that cast a dark shadow over the interview, but who knows, maybe they are just doing their jobs. What was the interaction with your IO like? Any weird vibes or weird questions during the interview?

I feel your pain. My wife and I have been dating for 7 years and also married for 4. We have a life shared together with all the evidence to back it up. USCIS should really organize itself and invest resources in cases that need more attention or that have red flags. Honestly, our case is so simple, I feel like the officer should do cartwheels of gratitude when they open a case file as clean and as full of evidence as ours.

Good luck and keep us posted!
