I believe you will hear from them soon since you pass the N400 test. I751 is just the condition removal and shouldn’t be that complicated. Especially the local office had your files already. Maybe he is new or first time happened to him that he needs all direction from his superior. I won’t worry too much. Congrats for passing the test! I am 01/2017 filet and you are two months ahead of me. I don’t know how long is the wait for me now...... so ridiculous!

Thank you. I really hope that it's the case.

I filed on 12/31/17, and was extremely surprised when I got a notice saying my interview was scheduled in March! I believe you will hear from them very soon. Best of luck to you!

Don't worry, they'll just gonna review your ROC first if they need anything like RFE or interview from you they will probably notify you by mail. If everything is good on your ROC application most likely they will approved your N400 and schedule you for Oath. This what happened to me. Check my timeline below.

10/23/2017- sent to Phoenix, AZ lockbox via USPS
10/26/2017- NOA 1 with IOExxxx receipt number
10/28/2017- Biometric scheduled (online status)
11/16/2017- Biometric done at ASC
01/10/2018- online status updated - Interview has been scheduled
02/14/2018- Interview (passed) but decision cannot be made because of pending ROC. Officer has to review it first before he will approved my n400.
02/20/2018- online status updated- We placed you in line for youth ceremony and will send you a notice. .......
03/02/2018- Oath letter mailed

03/20/2018- Oath Ceremony

Thank you for sharing! I feel a lot better now after looking at your timeline.

Fingers crossed that my ROC will be processed soon, so I can move on.

Your Oath Ceremony is in 3 days. Congratulations!! You must be super excited right now!

As far as I know. It is a good idea to take your spouse with you no matter what. It all depends on the officer, some will just approve both at the same time, some will do 2 interviews. I would like to take my spouse with me, but he has been hospitalized and he might not be able to go with me. I did not get a letter requiring me to take my man, but I will have letters from his Dr and the hospital proving my husband is unable to appear with me. Good luck. My interview is in 13 days

It makes me mad that they should have adjudicated your case a few months ago. You wouldn't have to go through this anxiety. I am praying for you and your family.

Thank you for your support, yes, they should have, I have to worry about my husband's health and immigration at the same time, very tough and just bad timing, I hope this nightmare will be over soon and my husband can recover..

For whatever reason I ignored the existence of this thread, so here I am now! November 2016 ROC filer, and November 2017 N-400 filer.

I had my N-400 interview on March 12, 2018 (with a pending ROC application). After reading much about it here on VJ, I was confident that the ROC would be adjudicated prior to the citizenship interview, so I brought my husband along, and sure enough, we were called together to have the ROC interview first, and then he was made to leave so that I could go through the citizenship interview.

The officer did have my huge folder on her desk, and the conversation concerning the ROC was a friendly and pleasant one. She went through the details included in the application (for both interviews actually), and then asked very simple questions about our married life, friends, etc..

Considering I applied for citizenship in November of 2017, and it only took 4 months to go through the process, and also considering that CSC has yet to process November 2016 ROC filers, I'll say I am VERY happy I went forward with the N-400 application.

Now all I have to do is wait for USCIS to schedule the Oath Ceremony, and then I'll finally be able to conclude this very long process.

Best of luck to everyone!

Congratulations!

It seems like it can really go either way whether they will have reviewed our I-751 files or not by the time we have our interview. Interesting.

Hey guys I just got my interview for April 6th 2018 for my n400. However, my ROC is still pending since Aug 2016, does anyone you know if it's required to bring my spouse? It did not say anywhere that I am required to do so, but I don't want any issues and my spouse is very busy and rarely gets time off work. I will like to hear all of your experience with the process.

Thanks, Soapface!

Yes, that does seems to be the case. I was lucky in that I didn't have to argue with the officer, but ultimately, it seems as if even those that are not up to speed with the process end up reviewing the applicant's ROC on their own and then issue an approval (provided the documents warrant that, of course).

I wish you the best for your interview on April 3!

Congratulations!!! For your ROC, are you a VSC or a CSC filer? And where is the field office that you applied at for your 400?

God has perfect timing; never early, never late. It takes a little patience and it takes a lot of faith but it's worth the wait. ❤️

I am so happy Katya decided to file the N400 instead of waiting for the ROC.  She filed the I751 in December 2016 and filed the N400 in Mid-January 2018.  We waited a few weeks since she was heading to see her mom and she did not want to be caught with a biometrics appointment while away.  Anyway, based on the Detroit processing times, we were expecting a 7-8 month wait, so imagine our surprise when she got the text/email/NOA regarding the interview being scheduled April 10.  For her, it was less than 3 months from filing to Interview for the N400.  Good thing she has already been studying US Civics and prepping for the interview.  I will definitely be there with her for the interview, so if they want to talk to me about the I751, that will be fine.  I am just happy to seeing the light growing bigger at the end of the tunnel for her and I.
