Can anyone provide me with more insight on the advanced parole. My fiancee and I married in July..requested advanced parole to travel to ghana in december for our wedding because her family is in Ghana. I expedited the application based on financial reasons. I called USCIS and they told me they can't accept our reasoning. What can we do in this situation. We have incurred costs for the wedding and we will have to be present in Ghana for the occasion.

When did you apply for the AP?  If it was in July, it's possible you will have it by December, but no guarantees.

You may have to reschedule or postpone your December plans if it is not here by then. Unfortunately you will just incur the loss of money financially, or you can go and she can stay there and you could file CR1 for her to return to the US in 12-14 months after you.

You should never schedule anything and pay for it without the proper papers in your hand. It's unfortunate you had to go through with this, I would just hope it's there by December!

You married in July but when did you apply for AOS or AP?

If they didn't accept your reasoning for expedite then there is nothing you can do. Expediting travel for financial reasons is not a sufficient reason. They reserve expedites for emergencies like family members in home country dying.

If you married in July and filed immediately afterwards you may have it by December but nothing is guaranteed. To be safe you may need to push your December plans to early next year to give yourself some room. If your fiance leaves the US without the AP or GC in hand she will not be let back into the US.
