I went for my Interview on Tuesday 24, 2017. Interview from my point of view didn't go so well, as I forgot to give IO new lease and not enough photo. My online status changed to Your case in under Initial Review.

Any advice on what to start preparing for? I have not received the letter yet, but any suggestion on what to expect. Will I get a second interview (Stoke) or straight denial? Anyone with experience or similar should please help.

Please help

Just wait and see what they say. Most petitions do not get approved at interview. why do you think it didnt go well?

I think maybe because I didn't present the lease and enough photo. Truth is we are not into photos. I only printed about 10 from my phone, which basically include me and my wife.

You will be ok. I know immigration is very stressful but from all you have said it sounds pretty routine. If they require more evidence they will ask. I have been married to my wife for 15 years. When I was looking for pictures of us together to include in my package I could only find about 20 to 30 and this is the second time we are doing AOS.

Wow, what happened to the first AOS? You should have naturalized by now. Anyway, thanks for the encouragement, its just been so stressful, waiting for long to have then interview and then forgot to present the lease. I can't stop blaming myself for the screw-up.

So you have to start the whole process again? Wow, thought you should have skipped some steps...since you already have it before....

No I started whole thing over again. I gave up my first green card before i naturalized because We decided to live in Uganda permanently and thus had no need for one. After living there for 10 years, My wife become home sick and we also wanted our kids to go to high school in the states so my wife came back with the children while i stayed behind to run the business.

I would visit every few months for the first 3 years and then my eldest son started to have behavioral issues due to my absence from the home and our marriage also started having difficulties. So the last time i came to visit we decided that i have to stay to try and deal with the issues here. so now we are doing AOS again.

God is your strength my brother. I will keep your family in prayer. I trust everything will work out for us all.
