Hi Guys,

My I130 was Approved August 24th 2017.. does anyone know how long it takes to get info back from the NVC should I have the fee bill and invoice number by now, it's been over 9 weeks?

Many thanks

Tristan

Don't wait on the NVC to contact you, start calling them and see if they have your file.

Yes, that is the best number and when you call, press 1 then press 7 and you will speak to an officer or agent to help you.  My case was approved by the USCIS on 9/19 and I have been calling the NVC twice a week and they keep saying they haven't received my case.  They told me it takes upto 6 weeks.  Its been 5 weeks and still nothing.  Very frustrating

Thank you, yes the whole process is nerve racking even with a lawyer!

Is there a way of calling the NVC from outside the USA without costing a fortune?

When I was on vacation in malaysia I used google Hangout Dialer to call numbers in the USA using the WIFI signal and it worked great.  But again, my number is a USA number.  I actually just called the NVC about 5 minutes ago and I wasn't on hold at all.  As soon as I pressed 1 then 7, I spoke to an officer within 30 seconds.  Try them out now even if you pay for the call the wait is not much right now.

Good luck
