2008 into 2009 ... going up after the big drop was an easy path after the sub prime bubble burst. those of us in a position to take advantage of this downturn did quite well.

might want to think about what group got the sub prime ball rolling ... hint: it was started well before 2008

2009 ... the year BHO took office the economy rose ... he gets the credit ... got it.

2017 ... the year DJT took office the economy rose ... he doesn't get credit ... got it

 

Seems every so often people go on with the old stick about the presidents being responsible for the economy ...

Funny thing happened last year.  While the media was busy telling us by how much of a margin Hillary was going to win (and I believed it too, much to my chagrin), a friend of mine drove from the west to the east coast.  She said in all those thousands of miles, all across the country, she only saw a handful of Hillary signs.  She said there were a TON of Trump signs.  She believed Trump was gonna win long before he won.  Thankfully, she was right!

Actually, if you look just three posts above this one, where I quoted a Trump hater, you’ll see that at least one of you IS obsessed with the election results.  Actually, many are.  And that’s ok.  Some people simply want to be unhappy, and refuse to look for the good in everyone/everywhere.

When Trump is out of office, expect lots of whining about how the national debt is exploding, and that we can no longer afford what's left of this countries joke of a safety net. The usual suspects will be here to tell us that Trump was not a true believer in capitalism, and that we just need to bring on more libertarian ideas to fix the problem.

I think you may be confusing us with the group of people who DIDN’T leave the UK/England/Great Britain/British Isles to escape those very ideas.  But I guess we will only see with time, eh?
