my case is in line since may 17 and I filled in mar 17. recently they told me that they opened my case at Montgomery on feb 21st 2018. can anyone please explain me what it means?

It's a good thing that you case is in the local Field office from the NBC , that's one step closer to being  scheduled for an interview in my opinion.

I hope so. I went to Infopass and officer told me that interview would be at Montgomery but, oath will be held at Birmingham court and the dates for 2018 are May, July and October.

how soon do you think they might schedule the interview? a month or two from feb 21st?

They couldn't tell me when i would get my turn but said that if I do not hear back in 3 months then they will resend a service request to USCIS

That means application for a given priority month can take up to 3 months to complete.

Still in-line for an interview, no update are change to my status since I did my biometrics in Aug 2017.

I was hoping that when they opened the new Montgomery office and had the new field office staffed things

would move faster for us all.

As it would take some of the case load off the Atlanta office, but as far as I can tell their has been little are

no change for any of us. I think the paper filers as being pushed back further in the pile of applications.

I plan on making an inquire soon, what good if any that well do. Just so frustrated to have gotten this far 

and then be stuck in this situation and when I well finally see some progress with my case .

I was in the Montgomery Field Office on Thursday and was having a conversation with employees as I was waiting. I was told that Montgomery office is under staffed and DACA is flooding that office. Hurry up and wait situation for anyone that needs to interview in that office.

crying shame that DACA is over riding US citizens that their spouses are trying to get things done.

Absolutely.  They even asked my husband if he was USC and they just shook their head when he said yes. Then laid on us the bad news of DACA.  USC's are treated like ####### while illegals get better treatment.

That is just not Right / Fair to the people who are actually using the correct " legal " way to get their Citizenship..
