Back to Back J1s

I successfully applied for a J1 visa in March. I went to the U.S. and stayed for 2 months and left because I couldn't find a position in the allocated time.

Now I want to have another go at the visa - I'm Irish and I can travel on the IWT visa category - I've found a willing sponsor - do we think that I'll be all set to be given a 2nd visa back to back or will they refuse me?

What type of J1 did you get the first time around?

Irish Work Travel (IWT). Allows you to go and look for a placement in the US - I just didn’t find one in time (poor planning and such).

Well, as long as you didn't violate terms of the previous J1, I think you will be OK. You did the right thing by going back to Ireland pretty fast. Just make that clear if they ask you and take evidence of the new sponsor.

I have a friend who did work & travel like 4 summers in a row. So they allow for J1 multiple times.

Thank you - I figured at least if I came back early there'd be no grounds for visa denial on that basis.

Thank you also for clearing that up :)!
