Wrong date on my GC. What should I do?

Hi Folks,

 

My I-751 was approved and got my GC. However I noticed it has the wrong date on the "Resident Since:"

 

Actual date: 02/14/2015

Date on card: 02/04/2015

 

It's 10 days off. Is that a problem? What should I do?

If it is the fault of USCIS, you can file I-90 for free to correct it. We had to do this for the same reason. It is all done online.

How long did it take to be fixed?

Did you have to send them the wrong card back and wait for the new one?

No. We destroyed it when the new on arrived. It is a total online process.

Actually, the wait time to correct a green card error is more like 12 months. A 10-day difference should not matter to you too much at naturalization, so I wouldn't bother.
