Hi, my question is, my husband and I were scheduled for his AOS interview last month, it was cancelled.  We received our second notice on Monday, it's now scheduled for October 31st. The problem is, we were in the middle of getting his medical scheduled when they cancelled. So we cancelled his medical, we called to schedule his medical, but can't get in for atleast 2 weeks, which will then be past our interview, does anyone know how important his medical is in having it for the interview? Can we just mail it to them when we get it? Thanks.

Yes you can mail it in after the interview, they will ask for it and send you an rfe, which will delay your process much longer. That is why it is advisable to go with the medical. I know it is already too close for another test. Can't you guys go transcribe the previous one he did?. Has he done the gonorrhea and syphilis test? Because those are the two that can take a day or two. Also, you might want to find another Civil Surgeon, even if you have to drive far to get it done. Two weeks before appointment seems a bit too far fetch. You know you can also go to your local health dept to have it done right? Just ask the previous CS to fax your medical paper to the new place, that is what i did anyway.
