Hello fellows, and prepare to read a long "impulse of my soul".

We've been waiting for 125 days now and I DO KNOW it's not nearly the longest period people have endured here. Some have to go through the hell of 150 and even more than 170 until they hear from USCIS, and to say this awaiting is "exhaustive" is to say nothing. I feel terrible for all of us who have to go through such sufferings in order to simply be with the person they love. I think it's completely unfair that we are being de-preoritized, especially this year, and everyone else gets a sped-up visa process other than us. Plus, as you all probably know, the California Service Center is the ONLY ONE that processes fiance visa nowadays.

Now, of course, a long-distance relationship is a real test of love and we should be thankful for it. But it's crazy we have to wait for so long. It's just too much. Everything should have its limit.

While I do acknowledge thefact that nothing really currently depends on us (of course, taking into account that we did everything possible to not receive an RFE and denial), the only thing I suggest we ARE able to do is calling them at least every two weeks or so as you approach your date (depending on what your timelline is, ofc), and getting as much info as we can from them. And, if none, annoy the hell out of them, because for them it's some ordinary stuff, to verify these petitions, they go through hundreds of them every day. They really do not care that people here suffer. Again, I'm talking about USCIS, not CSC. If everyone starts calling them without a pause, how much time will they need to realize that they need to finally get the done??

Now, you can either wait for half a year for an approved petition, or you can make everything in your power to shorten the time of being apart from your other half. I am a June filer and I don't want to spend this Christmas alone, and I hope everyone here shares the same feeling. Again, calling them is the only thing in your power. And, whether it will work or not, simply depends on the amount of people involved. Please don't be passive and everything will work. Not instantly, but shortly after. Or, we can just sit and complain how slow the process is and speculate on the topic "ugh why mine gets so long to be approved".

They lie to us about the processing times, i.e. they now tell everyone they are on "April 1st" while we all know that they are mid-May. They de-preoritized fiance petitions and put all the workload on one poor Cali center, thinking it's "ok" to let people wait for months. That's largely thanks to Trump's policies, but I think that we can do impossible and shorten our waiting times for at least several week, which I'm sure will be a huge relief to all of us.

So what do you exactly plan on doing because calling ain't going to do jack or squat. It is a way of life  to wait for the petitions and just be glad that they have shortened so much over the years, so a hiccup is not surprising at all.

Also what visa are you exactly waiting for to be approved at all since you didn't tell us and your profile/timeline is just bare that's all.

BTW Trump's policies have nothing to do with this at all. It is his policies that are making people actually rectifying their legal status in order to be legal to live/stay here, or they pursuing Naturalization so that they aren't affected by being a Permanent Resident.

if ur a truthseeker, then try to understand the process better.  u expect 6 months for k1 is crazy.

nothing gonna get ur girl here for christmas.

u think getting people to complain with u gonna help?  try change.org petition.  every few months guy like u who new and do not understand come here and try to get people here to complain together thinking that matter.  many here try.  all here fail.

no body lie.  u do not understand.  goal.  not promise.

vent okay but you wrong and u no understand things.

google san bernadino killer.  she came on k1.  u tell us citizeens that we ignore k1 rules.  we not scruitinze.  we let all k1 filer in right away.  u okay with more k1 killers?  or u think america need to scrutinize?

u need to understand process better.  u need to have patience.  u stay like this and u both go crazy from wait.  accept long wait and u deal better with situation u can not change.  nothing gonna change process so u must learn and accept or u go crazy.

Just about everyone here can relate to your frustration because almost everybody has experienced a wait time similar to yours or longer. My wife and I applied for a CR1 and it took 13+ months before she joined me here. During the early part of that wait, I found it to be extremely unfair in much the same way you are expressing. But as I read more and more threads here at VJ, I came to understand that having a spouse join me in the USA is not a right, it's a privilege. Once I realized that my wife's immigration was a privilege it really changed my views on USCIS, specific service centers, the public employees that examine our applications, etc.

You can call, but it's not really going to speed things up. And if you were to summon a movement where all applicants are calling all the time, it probably still won't have any affect.

The immigration process is all about patience, and you need a boatload of it to make it through. Good luck.
