no, it's not citizenship. are you in your country? have you ever been deported or lived in the US for over a year? do you have any ban?

 

if not and you are in your country, and he is 21 or older, he can file a petition for you to get a green card. you would apply for citizenship after being a green card holder, a legal permanent resident for 5 or more years

I have received divorce notice from ex-wife.my two kids are living in US.What you mean ban I didn't receive a any documents like that.can I find that out.

How old are your two children?

No matter what you don't just get a citizenship. If your children are old enough they can sponsor your green card first. (Long process here ) Then after 5 years you can be eligible for citizenship.

Once your son (who I assume is a USC) reaches the age of 21, he can sponsor you for permanent residency in the US.

Once you have been approved AND are living in the US for at least 5 years, then you can apply for citizenship.

 

In the meantime, you can try to get a tourist visa to visit with your children.  Or speak to their mother and see if she'll agree to send them on a trip to visit with you.

Thanks for being kind. My routine work every day that I will speak to my kids just to hear there voice.my ex-wife got married. Asked her many times to arrange for visiting.she said no.it's more than a year ago i spoke with them. No words to explain what I am going through.I last hope.

It must be very difficult to be apart from your children for so long...and now more than a year since even speaking to them.

If she refuses to send them out of the country to visit you, then you still have the option of applying for a tourist visa to visit them in the US.

Also your son has to be willing to petition you when he reaches 21. If he doesn't want to, it's game over until your daughter reaches 21. And if she doesn't want to, it's the end of the road for you. I have no desire to petition for my father when I obtain citizenship as he played no part in my life for many years. Why do I need him now as an adult? Your children may feel the same way.

I was thinking this as well...

 

OP...since the children haven't even seen you in 6 years, they may find it hard to agree later on to become financially responsible for someone whom they might view as a "stranger" after so many years of no-contact.  On the other hand, being that they are minors right now their control over the whole situation is probably slim to none---so perhaps when they are a bit older they may wish to seek you out to reestablish a relationship with you...best of luck to the OP.

Normally there would be visitation rights as part of a Divorce settlement, thread is a bit weird, OP said he was studying for a Masters.
