us embassy job to help us citizen with no money get home.  done.  us embassy job is not to pay for all ur mistakes.  us emabssy did not give u money to pay overstay cuz not necessary to get u home.  blow my mind that u think us embassy should give u money to deal with all ur problems.  us ebmassy help u get home.  after u get home u want to travel more outside US then ur business, not us embassy business to pay so u can go on vacation.

It sounds like you are a US citizen who has a son in the Philippines, overstayed their Philippines visa, and is now banned from the country.  I am moving your thread to the Phils regional forum for more country specific answers.

It isn't much trouble to bring them here at all so you should get on that. 10,000 pesos is about 200 bucks right now. You are kinda hard to understand what exactly went on, please break up your sentences and elaborate more. I have overstayed before in the Philippines and I had to pay when leaving that is the case. How did you leave the Philippines without paying immigration, also didn't you look at the stamp in your passport showing how long you can stay in the Philippines?

Go to Living in Cebu Forum.  There are a lot of expats on that site.  My buddy got a year blacklisted and now he is on a 5 year blacklist from Philippines.  Those guys will be a lot more helpful and have more knowledge in this certain area.    Sounds like you should be retaining a Lawyer based in Philippines who deals with Immigration Issue

And Filipino lawyers love American money!  This is a great illustration on why you should not overstay your visa.

OP, you should be able to pay the fee at the Embassy in California.

Don’t blame the rich people for your mistake. You overstayed, they didn’t make you.

There  is nothing you can do about the past. Work on getting your family back together now. They can come here but that will cost money and have restrictions. You can meet them in a third country and get married there but that also can be expensive. If you really want to do this you can but it will take hard work and perseverance.

There are many people here with financial challenges and they can make it happen. Accept the fact that you are responsible for your actions and go get your family back together.

If if you really want that, you can do it. I am praying that you can get your family back together. There is nothing more important in life than our loved ones.

The Embassy can’t pay your fines. That is why they didn’t cover that. They did what they should do for a citizen. Get them a place to stay and help them get home.

The rest is on you. You had to know you stayed longer than you were allowed. I’ve never heard of a 6 month blacklist. I don’t recall a blacklist shorter than 5 years. I am not that familiar though.

I have to agree with John on this one don't come on here and bash people that are trying to help you without first taking responsibility for what you did. I overstayed in the Philippines before as well and I knew I would too because where my wife lives up in the provinces of Mindanao there is no BOI office at all, unless you travel 5 hours back down to Davao City. So when I exited I knew I would have to pay a fee because of it and I believe I paid about $80 USD at the time because of how the exchange was rate was at the time. You should have found out about the law of the Philippines in regard to over staying your visa and not just be like:  "I thought I could go anywhere and come and go as I please". It is not our fault that you have a court case and thus can't work with a charge hanging over your head.

I am a working father with 4 kids and a wife. We have to plan and budget inorder to fly back to the Philippines so don't accuse me of being rich at all. If you want help and are willing to accept the constructive criticism that comes with it then we are here to help you because we want you to succeed and be back with your family.

The first thing you need to do is to call the Consulate in Los Angeles and see if you can do something about the immigration ban you have. There is no Philippine Consulate in San Diego there is only Los Angeles and San Francisco here in California. But you first have to recognize that they will want some money to do away with the immigration ban.

Also don't mind Bui Quiang here is I think Chinese or Vietnamese and English is not his strong suit at all, he knows nothing about the Philippines and it's processes.

If you willing to come back and take some criticism then we will definitely help you. But I do hope everything works out for you. Where is your fiance and son living now in the Philippines?
