hello my VJ family,

I just had my interview today at US Embassy Manila, they gave me a pink slip together with my appoinment letter, a guy from window 37 told me to go to to DELBROS to pay the delivery fee. I got a pink and since I paid DELBROS for the delivery fee and they did not gave me back my passport does that mean I am approve? hmnnnn I have heard lots of people telling me if you get a Pink slip it means your approve? I just want to know if its true?!

Anyways here is my experience at the USE MANILA when I was having my interview, my interview schedule today was 7:30 in the morning I got there 5 a.m. I only have 1 hour of sleep coz I was kinda nervous anticipating what will happen, the guards called the 6:00 a.m. appointment, you don't have to come so early like 5:00 a.m. if your appointment is 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. coz you will not be given access to USE not until your time schedule is called by the guards. To make it short I was able to get inside the Embassy waited for some instruction from the guard, handed my forms to the booth located near the door. SHe gave me my number and from then on I keep a close watch over the numbers that are flashed at a screen. Names were called at Window 33 for finger printing, another wait after that. My number was flashed to the screen again for preliminary interview. Unfortunately I got pissed to the person who did the preliminary interview, she is so damn strict when in fact she is a Filipina.

She asked for my I-134 Affidavit of Support but I handed it to her already, its her fault she did not look into my papers, she is not a friendly person when infact she is a FILIPINA... when she finally saw my I-134 she said its not an original copy told her that that is all I got! She then asked for my NSO Birthcertificate, CENOMAR, NBI she was irritated when she saw my BIRTHCERTIFICATE had some receipt from NSO and so is CENOMAR and she took it away and she said with a higher tone of voice this is not included!!! grrrrrrrrr I just keep my temper coz I know if I will give her a piece of my mind it might affect my application? Anyways she said alot of things and I'm surely glad I was able to finish my preliminary interview with her. She told me to wait for number to be flashed again and after a little while it was flashed at window 28 for my final interview, The consul that interviewed me was very friendly and nice not like the FILIPINA at Window 26, he asked me 3-5 questions, very simply and easy questions, and then he told me to wait again for my name to be called. My name was called at window 37 and the guy gave me a pink slip and told me to pay the delivery fee at DELBROS, he was smiling at me :) there was a woman who was teary eyed coz she too had a pink slip she said we are approve! greeted me and Congratulated me as well... well thats my experience with my interview today... I am HAPPY I MADE IT THROUGH!!! :):dance: Be cool and have patience if you encounter a strict and unfriendly fellow Pinay who is doing a preliminary interview... goodluck to those who are going to have their interviews... GOD BLESS...

Why is it that the people who look over at the paperwork before the CO are such jerks? I've heard the same thing about the US embassy in Colombia, they're such losers. If they hate their jobs so much, get another job.

Congratulations by the way. ^_^
