I used the information here to track the shipment from the NVC to Manila. I then signed up for email delivery notification thru DHL. Got the email last night. April 23, 2007 in Manila

My questions are this ..

Why are some of the members going thru the Manila embassy showing a Packet 3 in their timelines and some are not? In a post that I read this morning I understand that my fiancee will not receive a Packet 3 from the embassy, is this true?

Now that our information is at the embassy I did a timeline search to try and figure out how long Mylene will have to wait for her interview. I see that the amount of time between the dates that the Embassy receives the petitions and the dates of the interviews are all over the place .. some are two months, some are four months. Anyone care to venture a guess how long it will take for mine?

My wishful timeline below was established by using an average for k-1 visa's that were approved recently, but is not Consulate/Embassy specific.

Thanks for your imput,

CB

CountryBoy,

As far as I know, there's no such thing as Packet 3. Others receive pre-appointment letter (some don't) and it's mistaken as Packet 3.

In our case, it took almost 3 months before we finally got our interview appointment. Looking at your timeline, I think your fiancee will be included in July batch.

Yes, the pre appointment letter is what some of the Manila people are calling packet 3.

I dont think they are mistaking it for a packet 3, they simply include it as a milestone.

When Claudeth went through the embassy send her the forms required for her to fill out. I think it was the 156 and 157 but don't remember. Don't the embassy encourage the beneficiary to fill these out online now?

As far as the interview, you can try a timeline search for Manila to get an idea of the average. When Claudeth went through it was about two months from the time the NVC sent the package to Manila until she had her interview but I think that timeline has increased now.

From NOA2 to my scheduled interview it took us 3 months.

I only have packet 4 which includes appointment letter, list of required documents, and DS forms.

They encourage the beneficiary to fill out forms electronically though in packet 4 they enclosed these forms already. As of now while waiting for this packet, start getting BC, police clearances and CENOMAR. :)
