Hello,

I arrived in the US 3 weeks ago on a K1 visa, got married and been searching for my name in the SAVE database (using both my passport number and my I-94 number) but I keep getting this message "No cases found that match the search criteria."

So what should I do now? Is that normal? Should I just wait a little longer? Should I call USCIS? Should I just go to the nearest SSN office, apply and get them to inquire for me via snail-mail? If I do so, how long would it take me to get an SSN (knowing that it takes longer if my name is not in the database)?

Thank you very much in advance,

~~~
We had the same issue. We ended up going to the social security office two weeks after his arrival, and he had no problem. I think they have different access to the SAVE database. As long as it has been two weeks since your arrival, I would suggest going into the office and applying.
We're just going to do the same then as it has been more than 3 weeks since my arrival. Thank you very much for your reply! :)
To clarify, the SAVE online case check only checks for active cases from government agencies. It is not the database itself. If you have not opened a case by applying then you will not have a result using case check
You're right. I applied today and now I can finally see my case in the database. Thank you!
