Hello

My wife is flying back to London (from the US where she has been visiting me) for her visa interview and medical. We obviously want to do these two things as close as possible to each other so she can come back to the US as quickly as possible with her visa.

We have scheduled her medical on Friday November 17th in London. The website says: " it takes 5 workdays for the results of the medical examination to be couriered to the Embassy." https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/medical-examination/

Thursday November 23rd is Thanksgiving and the US embassy is presumably closed. What is the earliest date we can schedule her interview for? Friday November 24th or Monday November 27th?

Thanks!

I would say that you should make it Monday 27th to be safe. However, this is all very dependent on interview slots being available. When I went to book mine, the earliest possible appointment I could get was a month away. Sorry to be the bearer of possible bad news... I hope you can get it sooner, but be prepared for a wait.

Wow, they’ve really made things better in the past few months! That’s great news. So if that’s the case and it’s easy to get a slot, I would recommend Monday 27th just to play it safe and give them a little extra time to get the medical results over. It’ll be better to wait a little longer than to get sent away with a 221g. Best of luck to you guys - this part is almost over!
