Anyone familiar with medical exam in Vietnam, can you please help me get started with it. I have my NVC case number and planning to book the interview so I can speed up the process

What do they require to let you in medical exam other than Interview Appointment confirmation letter? What else will they ask for when you book your medical exam in HCM? Thanks in advance

Exactly this.  This is the only thing we got from the consulate, and it is what we followed to completion.  Once you have paid for your visa fee at VietnamPost, the next day, you will be able to set an appointment.  Then you can go for your medical.  My fiancee went to Cho Ray hospital, and it was actually pretty fast.  Not sure if the others do minor children, but Cho Ray does.

There is a list of items that you need to bring to your medical exam. Do check the K1 Instructions linked above for the list of items.

I would recommend going to the vaccination place first, then bring the Immunizations Record (Yellow sheet) to your medical exam. That way you don't have to make 2 trips.

You can call Cho Ray or IOM to book your exam. They just need your HCMXXXX number that you got from NVC.

Frontgear and Mike&Tuyen are giving you good advice. My wife paid the fee at VietnamPost and went online and scheduled the medical exam appointment. Then schedule interview date that is AFTER your medical exam date. If there is a big gap between medical date and interview date, keep checking for an earlier interview date to open up. My wife was able to change her interview date to an earlier one (people cancel, etc.). My wife was unable to get her vaccinations in Vietnam, so she agreed to get them in U.S. This is acceptable. However, I'd get the vaccinations in VN if possible. My wife is from the North, so she got medical in Hanoi. It was fast and easy.

The hard part is over. You are now getting close to getting the interview. Take a breath and relax. Good luck! I hope you are attending the interview. It helps. And it's a crazy experience. :)
