I do appreciate the good advice Western Union part wouldn’t be a problem I have the app on my phone and I could send it from my account to my credit card directly to me wherever I’m at for that city.  I’m gonna try doing everything with cash transactions while I’m in the Philippines because my bank charges 5% for every transaction to convert Currency I was thinking about renting a car to drive around but then somebody else suggested to me to hire a driver for those eight hours tours in Bohol.  Plus my fiancé wants time with me without me have to concentrate on where I’m going when I’m driving as a tourist I don’t want to hit any of the tourist location if it all possible once I’m there she’s gonna show me the places that they like to go to neither one of us drink so bars are not for us I know I want to try Lechon I was told Rico’s Lechon is the best in CeAnd when we go to the wholebu And when we go to Bohol we are going to the chocolate hills adventure park That’s the type of excursions that we want to do look at the site go to the market in the town try the street vendor food.  I don’t need to go to five-star restaurant I know we are going to stay at the holiday spa hotel in Cebu The red planet hotel i The red planet Hotel in Davao And the chill out guest house Panglao island I think I spent right around 5-$600  for all the motels including two nights for her parents that way that gives me more time to visit with her parents the plane ticket for two people from Cebu to Davao  was 150 round-trip the company I work for. Used a third-party site that gives us great if discounts  on all of our travel purchases with reward points

That's what I do as well when I go to the Philippines is try to keep it cash only. I do this for a couple reasons because I want to keep my card secure and they use different debit card machines per each bank. For example  BDO will have one, BPI has a different one. Which my card NEVER works with the BDO machine and always comes up declined, then I have to ask them to use the BPI machine then it gets approved.

I suggest having a driver for Bohol as well because it does make it easier so you can concentrate on each other and just being a tourist. Have you ever been to the Philippines before? If you haven't then I wouldn't want you driving either because driving there is crazy unless you are used to it already.

Where is your fiance from?

My wife ain't in into bars either so we dont do those either.  But we do love  street food but occasionally will do a expensive American themed restaurant that may cost $10-15 for us both.  But on average we splurge when we spend about $5 for us together on a meal. Plane tickets in the Philippines are crazy cheap usually on average, one time we splurged and did Premium Economy from Manila to Davao. That flight was great because we were the ONLY ones in that section so we laid out and got treated great.

This is just a trip for me and her to spend quality time together and to get all the information that immigration wants for the K-1 visa and we plan on coming back every two years to visit family and will be able to plan our trips out a little bit better than we are right now

When she is overe here then about every 2 years is about average. We try to do that as well but we had to renovate her house this year and it went way over budget. So we had to give up our plan on traveling there this year.

She is originally from Veruela, Agusan del Sur east of Davao I am excited to go we have been talking for almost a year and we decided it was time to meet in person so we know a lot about each other. She has friends that have tried to do the k1 visa on there own and most of them was denied so I decided to use Rapidvisa and since they have a office in Cebu and Manila she can go in for a practice interview in there office as many times as needed to help her feel more comfortable

We will be in Cebu area for just 2 days because that is where she works then travel to Davao for 3 days to see her family then go back to Cebu and take a ferry to Bohol for several days before going back to Cebu for a 3 days before I have to leave. All flights and hotels are already paid for all I need is spending money for food and transportation we are meeting a few of her friends in Cebu. Her family in Davao said I am not aloud to help pay for the food they want to do a cookout for one of the days that everyone comes into Davao to meet me. But I am going to help out with food somehow. Travel around Bohol and go to the Chocolate hills and other various spots and Alona beach. She said we don’t need fancy restaurant she wants me to try local and street foods. I told her I want to Enjoy the culture of the Philippines not the tourist features

then you should be fine. one last tip, let your fiancee do all the haggling with the vendors and guides so you don't get ripped off. enjoy your vacation. =)

Cowboy grill in DVO say WHAT!!!!!. I have to go see that next time I am Davao. I tried to go to MTS to hang out at night with my now wife and get PISSED because she said only Prostis go there but in reality I think she was jealous because I am a young guy.

I have been going to Davao since 2007, and been there majority of my trips.  I don't recall them being a MTS,  it more of a outside hangout with a band and lots of food / drink vendors.

Denied?  Who gets denied for a K1 visa in Philippines?  Someone isn't telling the truth, I have know about dozen guys in my area and friends who have done the K1 never had one denied.

Practice for interview? I see no need for that

Ahhh ok that's great because I love Agusan del Sue alot, my BIL actually lives in the town east of there called Trento and I have been there a few times. My wife is from the province directly south of there called Compostela Valley. Do you know if your fiance is going to take you up to her home town? If you go there I promise you you will feel like a king with $2k in pesos, just be advised that a lot of people in the provinces don't have change for 500 or 1000 pesos.

I usually leave my wife in Legazpi area to visit her parents and I roam the streets of Davao.

I agree with this as well it's really hard to get Denied at USEM unless there are serious issues with that person. She probably heard this from the Filipino rumor mill which is rampant and something you both will get used to not believing at all. We have helped at least dozens of couples on here with the embassy in Manila and almost nobody is Denied.

Like I said I think she was just jealous and didn't want me distracted from her by other women. I say this because unike a lot of Americans in the Philippines I am young so Filipinas tend to become very attracted to me. Guapo ako.

Next time you talk to her tell her "Gigihuma ko ikaw" which means I love you in Bisaya.
