The letter for NVC to the petitioner may or may not arrive in his/her mailbox. It's best that you call them at the number provided above and ask for your case number as well as the IIN. With the case number, you can track the movement and status updates of your case file on the NVC CEAC tracker. When it says "Ready" on the tracker, that means your case file has arrived at the embassy.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Frankly, I am not 100% sure because the USCIS tracker has been wonky for awhile now so I stopped tracking our I-129F on there once it stopped working properly. After we got our NOA2, I had my fiance called NVC to ask for our case number and been using the NVC tracker ever since until the issuance of my K-1 visa.

With the processing times getting longer at USCIS level, I can only assume that there are a lot of petitions going through NVC these days so they could probably take up to 6 weeks. Just call once or twice every week until you get your case number, if you have the time and patience to do so.

You'll either end up interviewing by December or early 2018. November seems a bit unlikely at the moment.
